Who would you pick if Green was matching Taylor tonight?

    Taylor would easily beat him.

The knockout was bad but he wasn't getting battered throughout from Abraham. He still has something left and easily enough to beat a C-class fighter like Green.

Agree that Taylor would beat Green.

The knockout was brutal, and he was handed an asswhooping in the last few rounds, Abraham was beating him up.

I would pick Green if the money was right. Green is unproven, but at this point Taylor has not done well against larger stature fighters. Most of his wins come against jr middles when they were bringing him up and the trend continued with his defenses. Just a personal opinion but I think Taylor becomes unfocused at some point and gets hit on the funny spot on his chin. Another good question is if you are Ward who would you rather fight? I would pick Taylor based on the form he has shown lately.

As for Green being a C class fighter I don't know what class he is right now myself. He certainly has been batting around tomato cans since his loss so its hard to tell.

Of course he is always a candidate for a KO and Green can punch some, so who knows. Taylor has shown that he can lose to guys with inferior skills so it would be a pick em fight in my eyes. I'd give Taylor the slight edge if he hasn't lost too much.

Jermain goes to sleep in the last round if Green can stop looking at his feet.

Green arguably has worse stamina than Jermain.

I see Jermain knocking him about early, possibly making him quit or just running him over. Green can do things early, he's a super middleweight version of Shannon Briggs with a "ruddock smash".

Taylor is through. Those bouts with Hopkins and Pavlik took a lot out of him and he is no longer the same fighter.
A fight with Green would be like Taylor's fight with Pavlik. I think Green would hurt or KO Taylor early in the bout, perhaps in rounds 6 or 7.
My thoughts are that Taylor should retire or take a few soft fights to re-evaluate his future in the sport.

Taylor. He'd expose Green's technical flaws from what I've seen of him. He's not a bad fighter, he just needs a break.

Jermain Taylor outclasses him. Green isn't in the habit of coming on strong late, so I don't even really give him an eleventh hour puncher's chance. Jermain was never really susceptible to one-punch type knockouts so much as accumulation, and Green is going to get outboxed and outlanded to too high a degree to accumulate anywhere near enough damage.

Taylor is also much less of an underdog against Ward if he's still slotted in tonight.

On paper Taylor easily beats Green. But Taylor stamina these days is impossible to rely on.. Green could just as well rock him in the later rounds and stop him!

Taylor's chin is ruined. He would probably get stopped.

Maybe a late round TKO win for a motivated, hungry Green. Taylor's chin isn't "glass" but his endurance isn't what it was. Give JT credit though all of his KO losses have came in the later rounds. I doubt he gets ko'd by one shot it's accumulation punchers that are his weakness. Everyone hurt him before they toke him out.
