    Dya know what really makes me laugh ??? John Ruiz was ridiculed scorned and laughed at when WBC champ UNTIL He fought Jones jr then suddenly he was regarded as a legit champ because Jones beat him

    roy jones - HBO/top rank at the time.

    politically it was a toughy.

    Benn also had underrated handspeed 2. And yeah what sometimes happens in the amateurs does transfer over 2 the pros. so roy could of gotten Ko'd by Gman.

    HBO reported it.

    Frankie LIles was offered 1.5, turned it down. Collins was offered 3, asked for 7.


    HBO was trying HARD to get a fight for Jones in the late 90-'s. 4 different fighters turned down career high paydays.

    That was a amateur close win for G-man, although G-man left with a broken jaw.

    You make excuses for Calzaghe being green in his pro-career, but you are gonna hold Jones' career to an amateur loss when he greatly improved since then?

    But Roy didn't get knocked out by G-Man in the amateurs, it was a close fight when G-Man left with a broken jaw. So what the **** are you talking about?

    The only thing we can all agree on is that Joe Calzaghe sucks ****! He's the real one who fought all those sanitation workers.....his resume is ****en terrible.     I think both Liles and Collins have very different takes on those offers. Also do you have a link?

    Actually it was the other way around, Jones killed a lot of fights by asking for too much money
