why is good sportmanship so downplayed nowadays? (Tarver said Green shouldn't have tapped Ward for a good round)

Ward is moving Green's head with his own into some nasty uppercuts.

    Round 3

Ward's right arm now getting trapped by Green's left - so at least there's something a little different. They fight out of the clinch with their free hands (Ward's left and Green's right). Ward pushes Green into the ropes and fires short uppercuts - I mean, short - like the Bruce Lee one-inch punch. Green looks comfortable laying back on the ropes, not throwing as much as Ward but seeking out spots, and trying to control the forearms of Ward like an octopus. Ward is landing much more here on the inside, but can't get off anything big enough to hurt Green. A couple of nice body shots with what leverage he has.

    Ward 30-27

    Round 3

Ward tries a leaping hook and gets countered by Green. Countered and then clinched. Wardd with a PRETTY uppercut on the inside and Green is looking to clinch. Both guys tie up and clinchy punchy on the inside. Ward and Green do a pose off before Ward landed a strong hook on the inside. Ward muscles Green into the ropes on a clinch and is landing decent uppercuts on the inside. Green holding on and Ward is doing decent inside work. Green is leaning against the ropes and Ward lands an uppercut and a low blow. Green is stuck on the ropes and Ward is smothering him and using some old fashioned inside fighting to bother Ward. Ward landing something to the body and then slip an uppercut in every time. Three hooks to the body and Green tries to answer with some smothered punches.Ward lands a good body punch followed by another uppercut and Green is befuddled. Green is just leaning there with Ward giving him the body punch followed by small uppercut combo. Ward is just smothering him and Green is holding on. Green is practically begging Caiz to break this up. Round ends with Ward holding one arm and uppercutting him at the end of the round.

Crowd roars at the end of the round as Allan Green mouths "my bad" to his corner.

****, Ward is beating the breaks off Green's ass. He is killing his body and keeping his ass pinned on the ropes. Great in-fighting.

It's understandable for Ward to use these tactics as a huge underdog against Kessler but for Allan Friggin Green ????

He's becoming the new Ricky Hatton. In that he has the mindset of "If it can work against a great fighter then it will work for anyone else"

Wow, that was a WTF?!? round... for almost 2 minutes Ward had Green pinned on the ropes just dirty boxing him.. landed some nice uppercuts and some good body shots in there.

    Ward took that easy.

    Just strange to watch.

Green is one tough sob, I'll give him that.

Ward making is his kinda fight though.
