Wow Ward is something else. Slick little pretty boy but he can fight his ass off on the inside. He just mauled Green in that round.

3-0 SOG

 

Ward seems more relax in there, still a kinda ugly fight.

 

Why bother tough guy?
If you want a sugar coated version of what I say, you ignore me. I tell it like it is, ********.

 

Never expected Ward to fight effectively on the inside.

 

why does the ref care if they are talking to each other or not.

 

Round 4

A crisp Ward jab, auspicious start...and, another clinch. Ward stays on top of Green even when they separate, trying to force the sort of tight inside battle that he was winning in the third. Green turns partially away from Ward and Andre chases him to the ropes and thuds the side of his head with a right hand (still clear enough of his ear to see that it wasn't a rabbit punch). Ward keeps on him, and Green counters him with a flush hook, Ward eats it up and eggs Green on. Green is using energy trying to push down the arms of Ward. Ward pressing tirelessly and mixing in a lot of body shots. Green headhunting.

Round 4

Both guys open up with good jabs. Ward eats a jab and then we get more clinchy punchy. Ward inside an lands a decent hook. Green looking to tie up now and Ward is looking to get free. A digging body shot makes Green hold on. Ward with a body punch and then clinchy. We're back in round 3 as Ward muscles Green against the ropes. Green manages to get free this time before more damage is done. Ward looks comfortable, Green looks befuddled. Ward gets popped by a great hook and Ward has to tie up. Back to round 3 as Green is laying against the ropes. Green is having a decent round as he lands a powerful body shot and gets off the ropes. Ward lands a body shot and then commences to go back to it with a sharp body punch. Green lands a solid right hand as the bell rings.

Meh. 10-9 Green.

Andre Ward is utter trash.

 

Green can crack,its understandable why Ward is using these tactics,once Green gets busier this will be a different fight.

 

He did a bit of this against Kessler - I guess it was no fluke.

 

God awful fight.
