It's Showtime!!! Ward vs. Green (and maybe more?) RBR

Round 5

My my my - a round begins with a clinch, off a Ward hook this time. Green swallows a double jab and tries to walk Ward down, his body language aggressive but his hands not moving. Ward lands a hard jab to the beard. Ward moving and boxing now, changing it up a bit. Green shuffles forward, bobbing and weaving a little but not punching. They clinch and Green slaps at the body. Ward breaks out of the clinch with a right hand. Ward circles, and feints at Green as he turns the corner to keep from being headed off. Green just watches Ward until the next clinch. Big right hand lands for Ward, followed by a left hook as Green pulls straight back...and then a jab to pour salt on the wound.

Green threw all of four punches, and they were all tiny little clinch punches.

Round 5

Ward is getting a little backwards now as he steps away from Green. Ward gtoes to leap in and lands a punch to a dipping Green's back. Ward and Green get into a posedown before Ward lands the jab n grab combo deluxe. Ward beginning to try to smother Green again but Allan is doing a job right now not getting sucked into it. Ward is showing "ring generalship" as he's moving around. Ward gets tired of side stepping and goes back into the fire pit with some body punches. Ward now getting space and just jabbing Green. Left hook straight jab combo hurts Green as the round ends. 10-9 Ward

49-46 Ward

 

this fight is poo.

 

Nasty left-right combo landed by Ward just before the bell. This is turning into a very entertaining fight.

 

Ward boxed a lot more that round, still won it. Green isn't getting off.. at all.

 

then watch it dumbass! you claimed you'd do it a while ago.

 

Im liking Dirrell's chances against Ward now.

Dirrell will not get that close for Ward to hold.

 

Ward is becoming the most complete fighter on the scene today. It hard to believe he is only 23 and will get better.

 

This is the ugliest fight ive seen in a while.

Couldn't be any more bored than I am right now. Two guys who are afraid to let their hands go 'cause they don't want to risk getting hit.

 

Slow and close round but I think Andre stole it with a nice right then a left in the last 5 seconds.

 

well if you pay attention Green is doing most of the clinching. Doesnt want Ward inside who would have thought?
Lets go Ward!

 

Green never throw a counter punch in his life??
