He surprised me in how good he was on the inside and with his strength. I had him down as a pure outside fighter and really didn't expect him to bully Green like that, although I expected him to win handily. He's really such a well rounded fighter, except maybe for power. Great performance from a future P4P fighter.
:good Spot On! I think he's the modern day fighter. He doesn't do anything ridiculously special. But he does pretty much everything very very well. His defence on the inside and at range is very cute, He's been around the block a million times..for a man so young. He's A Class Individual. Bet his Dad's a proud man looking down. He done a great job and as well Ward's current trainer.
A very solid, quality Champion, more than probable future HOF, possible lower 100 ATG. He's very rounded. Personally however, I can't say he's a fighter who gets me off my feet entertainment wise.
Comfortably beat kessler, froch and abraham and barely looked out of 2nd gear in any of their fights. This guy is something special.
I can remember when me and Slip had sneaky feeling he'd beat Kessler. I really tried to find reasons why Froch could win last night and lads it was a nightmare the kids that good you have to nitpick. Plus Froch just doesn't box properly to cause a fundamentally sound/tactically astute fighter like Ward problems. I still maintain Carl riled him i've never seen Ward talk like that after a fight so i think he can be annoyed as he is human but he lets fists do talking. Bute is the fight we all wanna see, A real tactical tussle..
Superb fighter. So smart inside the ring, but his hitting and holding tactics i find are disgusting, but thats just my opinion. Everytime Froch was about to throw Ward would grab hold, didn't evenget warned.
