He fought an absolute brilliant inside fight and as the announcers pointed out was being clinched by green more than vice versa. To see the haters come out is hilarious and shows how little they know about the sport.

Ward was out to make a point tonight and prove that he was the tougher of the two. He did that easily.

exactly green seems like the sort of guy thats only dangerous if you stand at arms length and let him throw first and ward negated that

Great post. I agree completely. I've been watching Andre Ward since the 2004 olympics and he never ceases to show new aspects to his game. He is going to be tough for anyone at 160 - 175 to beat.

    :good

Early on he did a little, but it was Green clinching on from round 3 onwards pretty much. He showed great inside skill. A bit of rarity these days.

I like the fact that he's a real thinking fighter similar to bradley in that he improves each time you see him

See I thought it was very entertaining. Granted I love inside boxing but I thought we saw a new side of ward.

Any Ward bashing is ******ed. He had the perfect game plan and fought the perfect fight tonight. **** the haters, the scorecards speak for themselves. Complete shutout 120-108. Ward is the ****.

i like inside fighting when both guys are in the inside banging short hooks with each other or the fight is some what competative. I dont think Green won a single round, i dont know bout the 12th like i said i fell asleep.

Ward is future number one pound for pound, as I've said before. He's incredibly versatile. Tonight was just another example of that.

ummmm... I was hopeing for a KO by Ward from rounds 9-12 but Allen Held on for dear life... Im glad I bet on a decisionj victory insead of a KO but someday soon Ward has to KO somebody.... And for those who say oh this is new from Ward, an inside boxing game.. He showed it VS Miranda.. I was sold then, plus shocked he back up a power puncher.. Allen Green got beasted on the inside, it was like round 11 before he learned how to escaped getting traped against the ropes...

One thing I don't understand is why commentators were surprised by the inside game? He dominated Kessler at will on the inside(granted Kessler offered no resistance whatsoever).

I'm iffy with Ward. Some things I don't like, for instance his connection with Victor Conte, and other things I do...his nonstop intensity in the ring in spite of not having much power.

If you want to accuse people of being hypocrites, you should start with your countrymen. The majority of posters here from the UK who've commented on Ward's fight last night have absolutely trashed him.

yep and I can't believe people think that fight was boring. I thought it was great and listen to the crowd they were loving every second of it.
