The short answer: He'll start complaining and slipping and sliding all over the ring like usual. Dirrell has incredible talents, but he doesn't have the mental strength to dig it out if it gets to a point where he needs to. He can box and move with the best of them, but he lacks grit.

Toney had average power, Hops below-average power.. for top level. Toney just had outstanding skill to land his shots, thus you don't need show stopping power.

Where do you get that from? I like James Toney.

Skip the first third. Half, actually.

Toward the end it was entertaining in that train-wreck manner, Ward both boxing nicely on the lateral step, and doing great body work with his man pinned to the cords (both, in the course of each round!) - and fascinating to watch as Green just looked more and more incredulous with himself, and literally looked unable to let his hands go.

Interesting. It's a fight where I won't really know who I want to win. I'm a big fan of both guys.

Yeah,... I disagree. I think a lot of their opponents also disagree.

Yep. I think a lot of people haven't seen a young Hopkins. The guy was regarded as a power puncher, and for good reason. He loved to roll on the inside and bang away with ruthless shots to the body and head. Masterful stuff.

Pavlik would have put up a better fight than Green, which is sad...

Bika would be a better choice and he would give a better opposition; he was very interested to fight in the tournament but curiously, Showtime has decided to go with Green unilaterally.
I hope that Ward's great stamina has nothing to do with Victor Conte.

If nothing else, it was an intriguing fight. It's the not the fight I wanted, but it's more the fight I expected.

Ward fights cautiously aggressive.. if there ever was such a thing.. that's what I call how he fights.

Taylor would have as well - even in his form against Abraham.
