What I saw there is Calzaghe throwing two half-ass feints to set up a left hook-right hook combo, and Hopkins headbutting him and landing a nice counter right. Wow. Not like I haven't seen it on every other thread related to Calzaghe already. Guess it never gets old for you haters though does it. Ward was indeed a prospect, and he beat Kessler. Basically anybody who hasn't fought for a title is a prospect. So everyone that has a title pretty much won it by beating a champion as a prospect. Whoop-de-****in-do.
After a couple of more fights no one will question that Ward would have walked through Joe like he was made of newspaper. Joe looked like dog **** against a 43 year old Hopkins. Do you really think Joe could handle a younger more athletic(at this stage) fighter like Ward. Ward is at a very high level. Don't be surprised when Green is suddenly "better" in his next fight.

I'm pretty sure the ref just wanted to get Manfredo out of there before he was killed. Refs can get in trouble for letting people die.
