Ward's fight against Green was very entertaining to real fight fans. He showed more of his abilities last night. He diversified his game and fought on the inside for most of the night with a good level of intelligence. That's something he has never really done before. Smart, aggressive, and legal infighting is always fun to watch and should be greatly appreciated and respected. Any attempt to take away from Ward for his last two performances are pathetic to say the least.

An unknown, most likely garbage picker in real life, recommending MMA or retirement to an Olympic Gold medalist and professional world boxing champion and favorite to win one of the most excitement tournaments in recent years. Nice thread ******.

Dead on right. He's painful to watch for casual boxing fans.

The MMA reference may have been a bit strong,i was just exaggerating his rough house tactics.Nonetheless Ward's style remains unentertaining IMHO.So there's no need for insults cocksucker.
Yes the super 6 tournaments is exciting , well, all the fights so far except Wards'.

Not really. You cannot win rounds leading with your head all the time. He would have been DQed had the fight took place out of his backyard.

Who said I was a Ward fan? I respect his abilities, but I'm not exactly a fan at this time. 75% of the posters on this site are casual fans. There are very few knowledgeable fans on this site and that's why I don't come up here like I used to. Talking to most of these posters is like talking to spoiled children. Some have even admitted to not knowing how to score fights.

Who are your favorite fighters to watch?

His fight with Kessler wasn't that boring in my opinion despite its bad moments and clinches. If put against the right opponent he can be very exciting based on his fighting style. Fights with Green and Dirrell won't be exciting unless something dramatic happens.

The Ward/Green fight would have been painful to watch for a person who'd been in solitary confinement and seen nothing but four, dull walls for the last 20 years.

well i was and am still somewhat of a fan of ward however i see the hopkins relation that some mentioned and its to many clinches to be entertaining to the mainstream fan .... he does have the skill to be exciting.... PS i was thinking that dirrel had the best chance of beating Ward now im not so sure that dirrel will be able to keep wards head off his chest either

And Hopkins never held like that in his best performances. Not even close. Ward is no Hopkins for sure.

The biggest joke of the night was when the guys on Showtime said that Ward was better than young Roy Jones Jr. I felt really sad about those people. They were forced to say such stupid things.

Along with Ward's style, he lacks any punching power as well. The thing is, I don't see why he needed to fight Green that way. Green was a sitting duck and surely he could have boxed the **** out of Green from a distance. It was really horrid.
