Prime Hopkins would have never held someone like Green that much. He would have knocked his ass out.

A quick paint job, but it illustrates his style perfectly.

DL'd the fight, watched about half of it and then fast forwarded to the end. That wasn't a good fight at all. Ward certainly knows how to shut an opponent down, he's far more of a spoiler than an inside fighter though.
Neither looked like they were really trying to win in style.
    Dire matchup.

The fighters listed below have been my favourite to watch over the last 3-4 years.

    Pacman - for obvious reasons

Cotto - i love the way he stalks his opponents before systematically breaking them down.

Pavlik - his come forward style was great to watch, although he has somewhat been exposed recently

Abraham - not great to watch, but explosive power like that is rare these days

Lamon Brewster - hardly ever in a dull fight, the Liakhovich fight was the best heavyweight bout in years

That **** was putting me to sleep. I enjoyed the rerun of kessler vs froch way more than ward vs green

Compare the Ward/Kessler fight to the Kessle/Froch fight - no comparison.

As someone just said, Ward likes to shut down his oponent and out point them.Theres very few free flowing exchanges. Its punch, follow with the body, clinch, fight a bit in the inside and repeat.

He's getting the results and making good money, so fair play to him, i just hate his style, its simply not good to watch as a boxing fan

 You guys make my day, you describe Ward as if he was Floyd Mayweather. Let me put it this way, Floyd mayweather does not fight dirty thats why I love his style, Andre Ward has a horrible style that not only casual fans but also true boxing fans cant enjoy it, thats the difference. Floyd boxes, Ward fights dirty.

Co-sign! Ward doesnt deserve any of these RJ, Leonard, Hopkins comparisons.

If anything... he's a cross between Tim Bradley and Ricky Hatton.

I dont give a **** if people start rating him as the greatest ever, fact is he is a dirty fighter that not many fans will learn to appreciate even though he will be rated #1 P4P, his horrible style wont make him a big enough star. People have problems watching Floyd Mayweather fight, I watched Mayweather vs Baldomir right after the Ward vs Green fight and thought it was the most exciting fight in the world
