Was the Referee wrong to let Ward fight the way he did against Green?

Ive never accused Ward of intentially using the head with Kessler, I felt Ward put on a good performance on the night and the better man won, but last night watching Ward against Green I couldnt believe how dirty a fighter Ward is, he was holding and hitting constantly and being aloud, being aloud to lean on Green, was pushing Green in the face with an open glove and was using the head frequently with no major warning from the ref.
Did anyone else think Ward was fighting dirty?

Yes you would not expect "son of god" was so dirty.

The referee was not doing a good job in keeping the fight clean.

Ward fought alot more clean against Green than Kessler. Against Green, Ward was putting his head up against Green's chest and going to work. Against Kessler, Ward cut his face up by headbutting him repeatedly.

Yes, but it would not have mattered. Green was done after the first six rounds. His acknowledgement (his look at Ward) after the tenth round was that of a beaten fighter. I believe Green over trained and took the fight just to get into the tournement.

Ward is not the best 168 just yet. I believe Bute is better. The winner of the tournement should fight Bute.

All he had to do was raise his hand if he wanted the ref to stop in. Unbelievable. Ref obliged him every time. Reminds me of AA asking for low blow calls.

First of all he didn't fight dirty! Have you guys ever boxed! He put his head on his chest and went to work! Thats in fighting and all Green had to do was spin him around and give it right back to him and let those hands go. He couldn't bang on Ward and I do believe Green had no energy but Ward did not fight dirty. I guess none of you boxed before!

Yes I have boxed before, and if somebody pushed me to the ropes and putted his head on my chest I would have kicked him in the balls.

Well you must don't know **** about boxing because it was all in fighting and all Green had to do was spin him around and bang on his ass but he didn't! Why do you think Green didn't complain? Because he knew that Ward was not doing anything dirty. Foreman had his head on Ali all night throwing while Ali was doing the rope a dope.
