We´ll see, I hope you are right. But Ward is gonna bring his rough dirty tactics to the fight, and Dirrell will try to stick and move. Its gonna be a stinker, with mostly Ward ruining it because of the hitting and holding. But we will see.
Hopkins has always been a dirty fighter old or young. Hopkins boxed as well as fought dirty, but so does Ward if you consider what he did to be dirty. Ward was always known as a boxer, a fighter who moved around the ring and fought at a distance. He did that for most of the Kessler fight even though he was a little more aggressive than usual. The head butts against Kessler came late in the fight when the fight was already over and he had no reason to fight dirty. Go watch Hopkins in one of his fights with Echols(year 2000) and tell me he wasn't being dirty. That was a great fight by the way. Hopkins has always been dirty and he acknowledged this himself. You can't get on someone and say you don't appreciate him, but turn right around and praise someone else who is even dirtier than the guy you're criticizing. It doesn't make any sense.
If he does I will not support him ..With all that talent he should showcase it every chance he gets ..
Hopkins isnt dirtier, he fought his biggest fight as clean as you can be and came always on top, (Tarver, Pavlik, Trinidad, Johnson and others) of course Hopkins had some sneaky fouls in many of his fights, but they are not like Andre Wards, and Hopkins doesnt push a fighter to the ropes, hits him and holds him for the entire 12 rounds. And yes there were fights were I felt disgusted about Hopkins, but it was never in his biggest fights. Andre Ward is fighting his biggest fight roughing his opponents up, headbutting them, pushes them to the ropes, most of the things he does shouldnt be allowed in such big fights when there is so much at stake. And it seems like he cant fight on the outside, maybe he is scared of getting caught and knocked out. No fan wants to see somebody hug his opponent for 12 rounds.
Dirrell has the best movement and footwork out of all the Super 6 contestants. So far, Ward has shone against opposition with less lateral movement than Lurch.
