Agreed, Super Joe would confuse Ward. Ward does remind me a bit of Hopkins and I cant stand the way he goes in head 1st, he is dirty and and flawed somewhat but he is also a very good fighter with great skills.

but believe me if he got caught with a few big shots from A.A. or Froch he's going down mate!!

I don't know about that. I can only judge by the Kessler fight and I know for sure who produced the more convincing performance and it was not Calzaghe.

Calzaghe doesnt stand a chance, earlier today we established ward would take out a prime RJJ so this is a non starter!

Jones, Eubank, Toney, Hopkins, Calzaghe destroy the new breed of super middles

I know Hopkins wasn't a super middle but if he was he'd **** on these fighters

I really think that Dirrell has all the tools to beat him. Just hope that he believes it too.

It's funny to me that people think anyone would beat Ward easily. Spoken like people who have never seem him fight.

We can't live in the past or in a fantasy world. Opinions vary and bias stands.

You got that wrong there I see.
Calzaghe threw over 700 shots and landed more on Hopkins than anyone else ever has before.
I think you may find that Hopkins stopped punching also as he like Calzaghe also threw less than in his fight before and after. Goes to show Calzaghe throwing less was still too much for Hopkins in the end

calzaghe made a career out of destroying american hype jobs like lacy, brewer, jones, manfredo, and borenard hopkins.

dirrell and ward would just be another 2 american hype jobs on his resume, only this time the boogie woogie would be coming out in round number 1 :hammertime:hammertime:hammertime

Calzaghe would **** Dirrell, make him cry, and then murder him. Not necessarily in that order. And all before round 10.

Ward would be a tough fight for Calzaghe, probably the second toughest of his career (Hopkins was the worst). But Calzaghe equals or trumps Ward in every department. This would come down to workrate, punch resistance, and power--and Calzaghe was better at all three.
