what he intended to do, he pushed Green around...he bullied him and swept the fight, I concede it wasn't greatly entertaining but the bottom line is that it is going to be extremely difficult for anyone to take his title. He's a rare mix of skill, fundamentals, toughness, and has the versitility to fight essentially any style he needs to. The only question about Ward (at least in my mind) is his chin, I haven't seen his chin really tested yet, other than that he's as complete a young fighter as I've seen. The man deserves credit for taking care of business and has earned being respected as the champion he is.

I thought it was a great performance. He showed inside fighting that was pretty damn good, technique wise better than anyone else in this tournament, and bullied around a bigger, harder punching boxer. He exposed green's inner zab judah tonight. **** was embarassing.

    Can't **** with that fight.

Allan Green is a quitting ass sucker. Ward took his lunch money and laughed.

i give credit to ward for his performance last night...he used tactics that green
    couldn't deal with.

my only question is,why does ward get praise for that style(nothing wrong with it,was
very affective)but ricky hatton gets slaughtered for it.

I agree in reference to Green, very dissappointed that he didn't at least hang his balls out there and take a chance. He was a ****ing disgrace last night, a complete embarassment to the sport. Bet someone at Super Six is kicking themselves in the ass over that choice.

It's not the style that I give him credit for, I give him credit because it's not really his style but he demonstrated the versatility to take a "mentally soft opponent" and rough him up and bully him around. He had completely different approach than he did against Kesslar and I respect that. He is truely a professional and student of the game.

Ricky is a Brawler.. Andre Ward just showed one of his many talents, it was a bit Ricky Hattonish.. but Andre is not a 1 or 2 trick Pony...

to be fair, ricky has to use that style of fighting...with him having very
short arms and being a bit of a midget and all.he doesn't have the option
of using the style of ..say...a floyd mayweather.:good

He got the win. Fair play.

I won't ever pay money to watch him again though.
