Goodness gracious, forcing fighters into the ropes is not illegal at all. Something can't be dirty if it's not illegal. The majority of fighters hit and hold at some point. Hopkins busted Wright's head open with a head butt and that was one of his biggest fights. He also admitted to purposely butting Taylor and busting him open in their first fight and that was for his middleweight championship and he had his winning streak and title defense record on the line. He was also trying to put Dibella out of business with that fight, because of the hatred Bernard had for him. That wasn't a big fight? Ward has always fought on the outside with the exception of his fight last night, so to say he can't is dumb. Your point makes no sense.
I mustve been drunk off my nut yesterday as i dont have a clue what you are talking about. I didnt find it boring at all...:huh
He throws like 2 punches from the outside and goes back inside, and you call that outside fighting? GTFO man. Hopkins was past his prime when fighting Wright and Taylor, but then again he didnt push them for 12 rounds and putted his head on their chests, and using his elbows. There are always some fouls in a Hopkins fight, but they are not as clear as a Ward fight. 40+ Hopkins fought like a veteran would fight, Ward is 26 and fights like he is a veteran and his skills are starting to vanish
Ward fought a hell of a fight it isnt his fault Allen Green never comes to fight. The dude is a passive loser and has some terrible excuses. Oh ive had 3 training camps this year (2 fights why is their 3 camps ******) and I had no energy, my legs where shaking and I couldnt run for 3 weeks because I felt sick. No your overatted ******* who gets beat down by anyone with a pulse.
You just said he never fought dirty in his biggest fights and used the Tarver and Pavlik fights as references, but those came after the Taylor fights and Pavlik came after Wright. So how can you use the Tarver and Pavlik fights for your argument, but then say I can't use earlier fights for mine? Does that make sense to you? In his prime how many big fights did Hopkins have and who were they against? Almost all of his biggest fights came when he was past his best including Taylor twice, Tarver, Wright, and Pavlik in that order. The fouls committed by Hopkins are more clear because he already publicly said that he does them on purpose. You don't make any sense.
What were you drinking? I've got to get my hands on the bottle of juice that made that bout look interesting.
Trinidad and Glen johnson fights was a prime Hopkins at work. But again the Taylor and Wright dirty tactics isnt half of what Ward has done in his last two fights.
Ward did not need the home city advantage in this one. He smothered Green. I agree with the Hopkins comparison. If Ward is the future of boxing, then Boxing is in trouble. And to all who says Ward is getting better. BS, he used the same smothering technique against Miranda, Kessler and Green. His last three fights. Most boxers are not prepared for it because they don't expect to wrestle in the ring. Either way, a win is a win. Good for Ward. Bad for boxing.
So you have two of his biggest fights being in his prime? You do realize you just destroyed your own argument don't you? You said earlier that he didn't use illegal tactics until he was past his prime, so you acknowledge that he did them late in his career. If most of his biggest fights were when he was past his prime as you just admitted, how can you say that he didn't use dirty tactics in his biggest fights? You just contradicted yourself. You told me that I couldn't use the Taylor or Wright fights to prove my points because he was past his prime, but then you turn right around and use the Tarver fight along with the Pavlik fight to prove your argument and he was even more past his prime in those fights. Your argument doesn't make any sense. How many times can you contradict your own arguments before you admit that you're a hypocrite?
You are the hypocrite. Wards last 2 fights have been dirtier than all of Hopkins bigger fights combined, if you dont see it then you are plain and simple stupid. I didnt say Hopkins wasnt dirty in his prime, he was just not as dirty as Ward, of course there were some sneaky fouls but they were just not as clear as Ward who should get points deducted for what he does. Hopkins could actually box, all Ward does is inside fighting. He throws 2 punches from the outside and goes back inside, Hopkins had several fights where he mostly fought from the outside. If Ward does what Hopkins do, I would not blame him for the fouls, but untill now he hasnt shown me he can box from the outside.
I didnt like Hattons style, nor Ruiz or a past prime Hopkins style of fighting. So how do you expect me to like Wards dirty hit and hold fighting?
