    How am I a hypocrite?

You said Hopkins wasn't dirty in his prime and he wasn't dirty in his biggest fights. YOU said that and you were clearly wrong. You used two of his biggest fights as proof even though he was past his prime when the fights took place, then said I couldn't use two of his biggest fights as an example because he was past his prime when the two fights I used took place. Two of the fights I pointed out were actually before two of the fights that you used for your examples and the third fight I used was before the second fight that you used. You are a hypocrite.

Now you're saying Ward should be deducted points. Does that mean that you believe Hopkins should have been deducted points as well? Not only does he fight dirty, but he publicly acknowledged that he does it purposely. It doesn't matter if Hopkins or Ward cheated the most, because YOU said that you don't appreciate dirty fighters. Now your acknowledging that Hopkins is a dirty fighter, while saying you appreciate him. That sounds hypocritical to me. Ward was considered a boxer before last night by everyone and I've never heard or read anyone saying otherwise before last night. You should really stop right now, because it's impossible for you to make any sense with your hypocritical stance.

I thought Ward came into the fight with a perfect game plan and executed it perfectly. Suprisingly fighting on the inside and smothering Green's advantages in the "Tale Of The Tape" He showed he could adapt and show something we haven't seen from him before. :good

Ward dominated the tough talking Green in every rnd. Ward made Green look like a weak green string bean :yep

If you didn't find the fight pretty enough.... well welcome to Oakland where "Just Win Baby" attitude is in the blood.

If y'all lookin for somethin' pretty I suggest watching water ballet. I'm sure boxing fans can appreciate watching a champion executing a perfect game plan and dominating his trash talking opponent :bbb :good

Congrats to Andre Ward for another impressive and dominant victory :good :happy

How was the Trinidad, Johnson, Jones and Mercado fights dirty?????

I used the others because you mentioned them too so I can tell you that they werent near as dirty as Wards last two fights. You are a hypocrite because you just cant see how dirty Ward is, and using Hopkins whole career to describe how he is dirtier. Trust me man, a few more Ward fights like that would top Hopkins.

When you are a future star in boxing, then a "just win" attitude is not enough. Boxing is in trouble if Ward is the future of it, because his style is very dirty, and very few would appreciate it

Nice to get a truly neutral and objective viewpoint from a disinterested poster. :think

This thread is absolutely pathetic. After a while I just started to feel bad for Green but otherwise I thought it was pretty entertaining. For the people criticizing Ward's performance it seems to me that the blame should go to Green. Ward fought an absolute shutout, so if he was winning every goddamn round on the scorecards why the hell would he stand back and box? That could've just potentially gotten him in trouble, especially since Green had the range and power advantage.

So I understand that the fight wasnt an absolute thriller, but I fail to see how anyone can criticize Ward for fighting a fight all three judges saw as perfect.

Are you being serious right now? YOU brought up the Tarver and Pavlik fights as reference. If I don't believe Ward is dirty(I never said if I felt he was or not) that doesn't make me a hypocrite. How would all of that crap you just said make me a hypocrite? The difference is Hopkins openly stated he does it on purpose where as Ward has never done that. I already admitted that Ward hits and holds sometimes, so how can you say that I'm saying he's completely clean? You said he was dirty because he forces his opponents into the ropes and that is not illegal, so how can it be dirty?

Earlier you were saying Ward was dirtier and now you say he'll top Hopkins with more dirty fights like the last one. By saying that you're showing you're a hypocrite again. You just admitted that Ward isn't dirtier than Hopkins yet, which is what I've been saying all along. Why are you still trying to argue when you make ZERO sense?

By pointing out specific fights, it's obvious that I'm not saying he's dirty in all of his fights.

Ward isn't pretty to watch at times but is damn effective. He may not have the most aesthetic style but you can't argue with the results. I'm no fan of his but I think we are looking at the Super Six winner.

Green was holding just as much as Ward was, at least from what I was watching.

I wanna see Ward against a fighter that can respond properly to this **** though, like Abraham. Hope he clocks him silly.

I thought Ward fought brilliantly. I have never seen him take the fight to the inside, but after the second round he knew Green couldn't handle him so he adjusted and took over the fight.

Agree. Ward will see his limits soon, maybe even in a Kessler rematch.

    Spot on..
If it aint broke don't fix it..

Ward in an Absolute shut out.. He wanted the KO but Green decided not to punch and clinch.. all that smothering, body work, uppercuts and hooks Ward put on Green against the ropes had him sick rounds 9-12... Not all completely Wards fault it wasen't pretty.. that Socre card sure was.. That was beautiful boxing to real fans last night..

Ward is a boxer that know's his craft and make the other fighter look real bad and he keep's on doing it fight after fight.
