Who would win between Andre Dirrell and Mario Veit?

As Andre Dirrell is fighting A Ward next, I thought id pay Dirrell some attention and ask how you think he would have managed against former SMW contender Mario Veit.

Well what do you think?

Dont just go for Veit because his SMW resume is arguably better, think how the fight may unfold if they were in the ring together.

i'd go for ward in a life and death split decision as long as he fought in his home town again.

 

Thats a brave guess, remember that Dirrells big win is a DQ against a small former MW with a very poor SMW resume and that small MWs big win was against who? And Dirrell was out cold when the fight finished

Wow, I dont think Veit would get Dirrell out that early because Dirrell would run for long periods, but think Veits jab would catch Dirrell often enough to win a decision at least

Would probably be a very close fight. Not sure Dirrell would be busy enough to edge a decision, if Froch's jab landed then Veit's would land with regularity.

 

Veit was very tall for a SMW and has done more in his career and fought at a higher level, he knew how to use his jab, which I think would eliminate most of Dirrells offence. How do you come to such a wide score for Dirrell? Whats Dirrell done which makes you think this?

 

Most pick Veit to beat Dirrell

 

Veit is the more talented of the two, but the fact that he was an under-achiever gives Dirrell a shot at winning the fight.
