Duddy is probably the lesser skilled boxer of the two but he trumps Chavez for toughness and heart. Duddy will try drag Chavez into a brawl and we will really see what Chavez is made of. Chavez I'm sure will try box Duddy and avoid a war. It's an evenly contested fight between two B-level boxers who do not have the greatest defense, so I expect to see some sparks flying. Definitely going to be one of the better PPV events this year. :bbb

Will you be tuning in? Who have you got?

I agree, Although I don't see Chavez Jr. backing down from Duddy at all.
    (It's not his style)

I have to go with the kid on this one.

Despite being a spoiled punkass, I think Chavez Jr. will probably still take it.

Why not? It will be more entertaining than Ward/Green, Pac/Clottey, Vitali/Sosnowski, and many more.

JR is going to bury duddy. JR a say is b level duddy is c- fighter. I'm not hating but I've seen the guy live a couple times. He sucks nuts. He got spanked by some can outta pavliks camp. No plan b just swing. Chevez is going to get a lotta credit for beating this guy when in fact duddy isn't even a tune up, he's a tune down.
    Wipe your vj John duddy.

Chavez can box while Duddy has one gear.

If Chavez brawls with Duddy, he'll be on the losing end.

But there's no way he's going to let himself get dragged into a brawl with Duddy.
This fight has potential to be exciting, but it also has potential to nowhere live up to that excitement.... if Chavez boxes.

If Bonsante can land clean jabs and straights on Duddy, Chavez is going to make him look foolish.

And I used to really be hyped on Duddy.
When he fought Pat Coleman on ESPN years back, with Pernell Whitacker guest annoucing from the studio, even Pernell was admitting that there appeared to be something special with John.
2010 and all of that hype pretty much ended with that fight.

Duddy has always been limited, but he was still be pretty explosive and entertaining to watch. In a lot of his more recent fights he seems disinterested, lacks explosiveness, and just seems to be going through the motions. He's not all that old, but still has taken a significant amount of punishment in his career, even in the fights he's won. I'm not sure, but Duddy very well could be burnt-out.

I think Jr. beats him up and wins wide on points or stops him late on accumulation.

I hope Chavez wins so his camp will get excited, and decide he is ready to step up, and put him in there with Angulo or Cintron, or someone on the top level so they can put jr to sleep...
