How I talk has nothing to do with it.
He can do as he wants and I can have my opinion Anthony Small is a disrespectfull ****.

As I said before have a go at the powers at be or go the whole hog and join the fight overseas. Dont disrepect the soliders who are doing there job.

i said that already, however the war in afghanistan is more justified than the one in iraq. let us not forget the extreme oppresiveness of the taliban and the fact that they openly stated that the country was a base for al qaeda. as for small, watch this video posted by the other guy, he is not the most principled of guys.....

    :patsch

It makes me very sad both reading Boxing News, seeing this and then reading this thread over :-(

If Anthony Small wants to protest against the wars in Afghanistan/Iraq then he has every right to. But why do it at the homecoming of a unit, especially when these are units homecoming without some of their colleagues ? Why protest at funerals of Soldiers as their bodies are driven down the street ? It is such bad taste. Why couldn't they protest outside of parliment instead of spoling days like these which are intended for the families and friends of said soldiers, the family and friends who are proud of their sons/grandsons/daughters/grandaughters ?

And another thing, it's becoming so very easy no to deplore soldiers with the 'they made their choice by signing up in the first place' excuse. Thats absolute BS in most cases. I joined the Army in 2000. When I joined i joined for a career, I joined to get a trade and to travel the world. There was no current conflicts when I signed up and as a 16 year old boy I saw no conflicts on the horizon. Going to war was nothing more than an afterthought, something that I knew posed a risk but not something I ever saw happening. I expected tours of Bosnia/Kosavo and the like. But in 2003 I was sent to Iraq in the initial invasion. I didn't particularly have any right/wrong opinions on what I was doing, I just got on with it (as you'll find most soldiers do). I never went with the intentions of killing anybody and in all honesty if I could have avoided doing so then I certainly would have, I just wanted to do my time and then get home to my family/friends. I realise now that the war has served little purpose, however one thing that always sticks in my mind is the following incident.
On the initial day of the 'invasion' we were in a convoy of Armoured Vehicles travelling down a dirt track/road having crossed the Kuwait/Iraq border several hours before, a message came through on the radio's that there was a large gathering along the road ahead and we were to be extra vigilent. As we neared the gathering though it soon became apparent there was little need to worry. Men, Women and Children were lining the streets to welcome us. We gave whatever sweets we could to all the children running around our tanks (we were on ration packs at the time which contained a little bag of sweets each). Well a lot of the kids had no idea what was going on, but the adults lining the streets were begining to cry and cheer. The interpreters amongst us, told us that they were crying because they were relieved help was on the way and that they welcome the British with open arms.

I know there'll be cynincs amongst the ESB 'high and mighty' here who will probably dismiss my story and there'll be others who can argue that since we have relieved Iraq of Saddam we probably haven't done all we set out to. Fair Enough, but personally that moment will always stick with me and I know that at that time, In my opinion I was doing something that was right

As for Small, the flag he was waving wasn't just an ordinary flag showing his disapproval of the wars or against the troops/government. That flag has a 'Shahada' written on it in white text, and is a RAYAH flag, the flag of jihad which is a Muslim war flag. It's a 'pro' Al Qaeda flag. So if I didn't think Small was an absolute ***** beforehand then I most certainly do now. He won't be banned from fighting because he could easily take it to tribunal and (as we all know with our soft as **** government) it will be overturned but I for one will never go to a show in my life in which he is fighting.

And for that ***** with the silly avatar :-( I have no words for you should an imbecilic remark come back my way :good
