Do some math. A 60/40 split for Floyd would be fair if Floyd stood to gain $6 million and Pac $4 million. In this fight, a 60/40 split could mean up to $60 million for Floyd and $40 million for Pac. You think that's fair? That's like Floyd fighting another big PPV fight that same nght. Only a ***** would think that is fair. 52/48 for Floyd sounds more reasonable to me since he does slightly better in PPV buys.

Pacquiao wants to fight mayweather coz of the challenge not because he needs it. It is more of a WANT vs NEED case. In this case, Pacquiao wants mayweather and can walk away if floyd keeps chickening out of the deal. not fighting floyd will not do anything in pacquiao's career. in Floyd's case, he wants to make a statement as being the best fighter... something Pacquiao has already done hence, being fighter of the year a few times and has been named fighter of the decade.

Mayweather is the bigger draw whether you like it or not man. And let's not forget, Oscar made 52 million in his fight with Floyd and Floyd made 25 million. Seems to me that Floyd accepted the lower share knowing DLH was the bigger draw at the time. And also don't forget Pacquiao-Hatton negotiations stalled and the fight was almost canceled because Pac wanted more of the share. And if you wouldn't take $40 million for a nights work, you're a ****ing idiot.

Floyd wasn't even a draw at all. He had no claim to even the 25 million.

His previous PPV's were 300k.

 

Like I said, I'm not 100% backing Floyd. But his 60/40 claim is far from the most outrageous thing in the world. And if Pac's team would shut their mouths and work on it behind closed doors, I'm sure it can be lowered. Either way, I'd take 40 million in a heartbeat. But that's just me.

 

He must have been some kind of a draw to break the record. Not even Tito did that with Oscar. Or Mosley. Or anyone for that matter. In matter of fact, no 2 fighters have ever done that number. So come on man.

 

If being a draw in PPV is what keeps Floyd from thinking that he deserves the bigger share then what about the guy who was just named fighter of the decade and currently being considered as the #1p4p fighter in the world? 50/50 is really what needs to happen here.

 

You're forgetting that the other 10% is coming from pac's purse, not the promoters or venue.

It's basically pac giving floyd 10 million for the opportunity to fight him, which is outrageous and ridiculous.
