Kessler will have little trouble against Green. Green has no business being amongst this group of fighters. He was a joke against Ward. At least Kessler gave his all, Green let Ward walk all over him, from rounds 1-12. I felt embarrassed for him.

By the way, I don't think Calzaghe was a hype job. I think he was the real deal. This thread has nothing to do with Calzaghe.

Green does not fight like Calzaghe.

Why are people bringing him up?

That really doent mean anything buddy, Nobody is saying that Green is going to beat Kessle first off...Just pointing out how you guys are overrating Kessler. (again) Green is a live dog in this fight wether you admit it or not...Green is going to make Kessler fight his ass off...I dont see how Kessler is going to shut down Green like Ward did..He doesnt fight like that.
And??? That still doesnt erase the fact that he was the Favorite to win it all coming into the tournament...FACT!

This was evident as far back as the Linton fight. I don't give a rat's ass what the score cards said. Part time boxer - full time truck driver Emmet Linton got jobbed in Green's home town.

Green is no better today than he was in the Linton fight. I don't expect Green to last more than 8 rounds with Kessler.

Style's make fights and both of them were comepletely outclassed by Ward. Green/ Kessler will be different just as Froch/AA will look nothing like what AD was able to do. If I remember MK was SUPPOSED to walk over Ward?? Don't be so sure how this fight will go...............

Those aren't the only punchers Kessler's faced, nor the only quality opponents. Total myth.

A close to prime (or at least, not totally shot) Eric Lucas is every bit as much of a handful than the current post-injury gun-shy mental midget Allan Green. Probably more, due to his awkwardness and determination. Green possesses neither of those qualities. If Green doesn't get into a rhythm and things don't go baby's way, it's WAH WAH MOMMY TELL THE TIMEKEEPER TO RING THE BELL, I"M NOT HAVING FUN.

I think the version of Lucas that lost the other night would beat Green.

Yeah. The last time Green was involved in anything resembling Lucas-Andrade (a close war), Miranda nearly decapitated him.

It's debatable whether Kessler's right hand at 168 is harder than Miranda's stuff at 160...but he sure throws straighter, crisper, and more technically sound shots.

    Who said anything about punchers?

Froch and Green can punch, yes, but they are boxers. And Froch was outboxing Kessler. Kessler had to pull everything out of his arsenal, close the distance, and press the fight to win a questionable decision against Froch.

    And Eric Lucas?

    Please.

At least give me somebody comparable to Green before you start spouting off some more stiffs.

Headbutt's cut Kessler to shreds. I admit he was outclassed, but at least he was still giving his all right until the doctor stopped him coming out for the 12th - he did'nt quit. Green gave up after 30 seconds of round 1 and decided to do nothing, but sit on the ropes for the next 11 rounds.

Kessler has shown against Froch that he will go to war for 12 rounds. No way Green beats any version of Kessler, or in fact any other opponent in the super 6.
