You do realize that Pac only got to # 1 because PBF retired don't you? He didn't beat PBF in the ring and PBF didn't lose to anyone for Pac to get it. PBF retired and Pac was elevated by default. Hardly something to be proud of.

Then why is he still #2?

Who is "we all", and a quick follow up question who stalled the first set of negotiations and why?

Floyd mayweather and family made baseless accusations of foul play and then insisted on a new demand for olympic style drug testing.

    Killed the fight.

If Manny allows talks to stall again, and opens the door for PBF to fight and beat Williams, he's making a costly, costly mistake.

That's interesting, I don't recall the Mayweather camp ever "ending" negotiations, but I do recall Arum, Roach, and Pac doing so and immediately entering into a fight with another Top Rank fighter in Clottey. If this was such a crazy demand during the first negotiations, why is it suddenly OK now. If he can accept this now, why could he not have accepted it during the first round of negotiations?

It's like buying stock dawg, you find something you like and it's at a fair price you think about buying but you don't, you wait five months and the price goes up just as you thought it would. Then you call a stock broker and try to negotiate a deal based on the price it was when you first noticed it...dude it doesnt' work like that. He should have taken the deal when he had the deal (especially now that you see the drug testing obviously isn't an issue, which should have people up in arms), instead he allowed PBF stock to go up in turn changing the price. I've said it what seems like a hundred times now, Manny gambled (a gamble because the price could have went down had Floyd taken a worse fight not performed as well etc, unfortunately for him he didn't pay enough attention to the market and allowed the market to work him) and lost, it's not that big of a deal but the longer he waits the worse deal he's going to get because PBF will fight a Williams, Berto, etc and Pac will fight Cotto...again. It's not a fighter issue, it's an issue of poor management of Pac by his advisiors during the first negotiations, period.

Williams presents a far more dangerous challenge for PBF than Pac could everr present. His size and reach alone is more than anything Pac could bring.:deal

Pac got to P4P # 1 only after PBF retired. Pac hasn't lost nor has PBF beaten him in the ring so Pac is still P4P #1 despite this many websites now have PBF as the P4P #1 fighter now over Pac and PBF is also the betting favorite over him as well. That right there should tell you who they think is better.:deal

Best post in this thread. PBF has more viable options than Pac does which will continue to put him in an even better postion. Martinez, Williams, Berto or Cotto. Pac really only has Cotto or Margo.

I don't think so.. PBF would have fought Mosley, Cotto or Berto after his last fight against Hatton. He wouldn't have lost any so he would still have been P4P #1 no matter what pac did.

Remember all the articles about floyd ducking cotto????
He had no intention of taking on a prime cotto.

He might fight him now though.
