the hope is, as jerez has proven, that he will take it the distance. that is mundines danger. if he starves himself, jerez stays the distance, mundine may run out of steam.

Scales can easily be rigged.
The officials aren't stupid, but may tow the line if needed, particularly in a fight which is insignificant.
And the visiting team aren't dumb, they just want to get paid, which they'll get no matter what happens.
