Yeah lets hope he retires cos we've got load of big personalities in the heavyweight division, lets hope chisora and haye also retire soon and it can go back to a boring dead division like it was a few years ago!

 

fury is not good for boxing

what does he bring , if hes gone what do we miss ? be honest

 

i like fury he's big has decent skills ok not much power but he's a decent fighter and we need as many decent fighters around as possible plus he's only in his early 20's he can still improve . Ok he talks a lot but the sport needs characters .

 

What reason is he not good for boxing? He does not brake any rules, he's not a dirty fighter, all he has done is create a bit of interest in himself love him or hate him he makes things more interesting. If Mcdermott was fighting someone like sam sexton on friday, I dont think it would create as much interest, all due respect to sexton but he's not the most exiting fighter and he's does not have much of a personality.

 

I don't see what you can really dislike about Fury.

He's a bit delusional (aren't most fighters ) and maybe went a bit too far calling McDermott names such as McMuffin and such.... but it's nothing that any of us didn't say when we saw Big John dragging his gut through the ropes in the Williams rematch!

Is he a world beater? No, probably not, but he is certainly better for boxing than the likes of Audley Harrison.

 

Audley is good for boxing he creates headlines and generates interest in the British scene, you also can never take away his European title and his Olympic gold.
He has more talent then Tyson Fury and a similar personality so im sorry but I do not agree with your point. I do agree however that the match up between Big John and Fury is quite interesting and I am personally hoping for a fury victory.

 

Fury wont retire,even if he is Koed or stopped he wont quit the sport.He just likes hearing himself speak,he should think a bit more before he does cos if he does lose people are going to be throwing this at him for some time.

 

Harrison hasn't been good for boxing in this country at all.

His entire pro career has been one farce after another - facing massively overmatched opponents for the first five years (after saying he'd be British champ in five fights), running like a coward against Williams, making excuse after excuse for crap performances.

Sprott completely schooled him - a journeyman past his best with about 15 losses..... a last gasp KO does not make him a world class fighter.

You can't take away his Olympic gold..... but you can dislike him.

Fury would beat him, as would McDermott.

He just isn't that good - as will be proven if Haye does a ***** move and gives him a shot.

 

Their personalities are nothing like each others...Audley believes every deluded word that comes out of his mouth whereas Fury always has his tongue firmly stuck in his cheek. I'm astounded that people still think that Fury is serious when he mouths off

 

mcdermott will turn up in the shape of his life fury on the other hand will be unfit and overweight but some how fury will eek out a split decision, could be a good slugfest this as i cant see fury letting mcdermott walk him down this time round.

 

Can British boxing afford to lose such a brilliant sounding name? I mean c'mon, Tyson Fury! It kinda trips off the tongue, don't it?

We at least need him to stick around until Sugar Ray Smasher and Whiplash McGowan graduate from the amateur scene.
