Ward didnt give Allan Green the opportunity to punch because he was either

    1. Too close and clinching
    2. Out of reach and then
    3. Lunging in with a jab + head

Kessler is the kind of fighter that needs space to throw his own jab, and straight right thus he would be giving Green space also.

I am not saying Kessler will lose to Green, but it wont be as easy for Kessler as everyone here is stating.

But I doubt Green on having heart and brains to adjust to the moment. Also Kessler showed heart and Chin vs Froch, and Green aint Froch in terms of relentlessness, but he is a better boxer than Froch.

Kessler style is made for allan green. Kessler figths at distance, uses his jab and has limited movement. Perfect style match up for green who doesnt like a high work rate, likes his space to work and can find his target easy enough.

If Green has any mental game left he can knock kessler out cold.

I dont think he can KO Kessler cold, coz Kessler has a good chin, maybe he can hurt him but KO thats hard to do.

He can certainly perform better against a slower and in range Kessler though I agree with that.

He won't beat Ward, thats how. It'd not out of the question Ward will beat himself somehow, slip on water, break his neck, etc. Kessler is not going to do it.

I know people are disheartened by the ward performance by green. i am sure he is terribly upset with himself too. The fact is great fighters make good fighters look bad on occasion. I think ward is on the cusp of a great fighter. there are many examples of this through history.

Green is a good SMW. kessler is a very good SMW. Ward is a great super SMW. These posts u see doubting greens power are just backlash from his last fight. There is a style match up here and it favors allan green. Its been said 1000x before but its true styles make fights. Ward can show many styles, kessler and green fight the same way each time out.

This style match up favors allan green IMO. But, Green doesnt seem to have the confidence in himself and his mental game is lacking and that transfers to how his physical game looks in the ring.

i was going to make a thread on this after the ward fight but Ill wait til closer to the fight to make a final prediction. But, I favor Green from a style match up in this fight and i favor him by stoppage.

    This.

I don't really even wanna read any more posts on the subject after reading this.

As I said with Green vs Ward, I will say with Green vs Kessler, Green will LOSE another lopsided fight, and against Kess, I see a late Tko victory for Kessler.

And another thing I've been saying since Green was ridiculously put in this tournament, GREEN WILL NOT WIN 1 FIGHT IN THE SUPER SIX. If he wins so much as 1 fight I will be absolutely amazed.

that Homie(Green) going to get a fuc.. beating. Kessler is nothing special but he is solid guy. Green, he is just a bum. bum what a bum. You are hopeless if you lose with points against Slug like Edison Miranda.

Yes because Green has a history of murdering world class fighters?

The same Green who was outclassed and outboxed by the legendary Edison Miranda!

I think this is a really good fight for Kessler. His last two fights were really hard fights. A relatively easy title defense that should end in a T/KO is just what the doctor ordered.

This should secure his place in the semi-finals, and any of the opponents he faces will give him a very hard night. A gimme between tough fights is always a good idea.

Wrong.. Kessler had preassure on Ward.. Kessler had Ward against the ropes.. Ward grabbed, fought Kessler perfect on the inside, and when they split up Kessler walked back as he use to and ward jumped against Kessler with a couple of slaps and headbutts. Kessler was injured of the headbutts, but still he came forward, not Ward..

    Green did nothing..

So imo, Kessler was much more actve than green...

Froch lost the Kessler fight. Sure, he may have looked the more dangerous man, but Kessler outworked Froch clearly and deserved a close decision win.

Kessler is the same Kessler. Problem is, he's finally got to fight people of his own level or better. And with the clash of styles, such fights will turn into wars. But such wars make boxing exciting.

That said, Green is not good enough of a boxer to trouble Kessler. I don't expect that to be a war at all. Don't compare Green to Froch. Green has one weapon, Froch has a full arsenal of weapons. Froch is a difficult assignment to anyone in the S6 with his awkward style and punches. Kessler did well to win a fight against a very difficult opponent.

Geez. Thats what a lot of you guys keep claiming. When you say Kessler is easy to hit, get a bigger TV. If you pay attention you'll notice that most of Froch's punches DONT LAND on Kessler. He has subtle defensive skills that enable him to slip, block and duck under most of Froch's punches.
Between his flurries Kessler also landed A LOT of short, quick punches that you apparently didn't see.

Kessler didn't barely get the decision against Froch. He won by
    117-111 116-112 and 115-113. Not close.

If Sauerlands judges are corrupt then how did Haye manage to get a close decision against Valuev?

Danish TV had Kessler winning 11 rounds. British TV had it 115-113.

Showtime (at least Al) was ******ed and keep picking the wrong guy AFTER THE FIGHT. They just couldn't stand the idea that a european could do better against Froch than Taylor or Dirrell. Froch got the stuffing knocked out of him. So will Green.

Kessler has limited movement? Did you see the Andrade fight (or the Calzaghe fight for that matter)?
