Or was he a lost cause anyway ?
Mayweather put his coaching reputation on the line with ricky, especially with the way he made it personal between him and Roach.
He ****ed it up in my opinion. There's an interview on the main page of this site where he slags off Manny Pac, failing to mention he prosided over a shambolic and embarrasing career ending performance of a man he predicted would win easily.
    Tool.

A think hatton was a lost cause
wanted a big name trainer got the wrong one in terms of how he fights , could'nt ever see hatton slipping punches etc... the way big floyd fighters like little floyd guzman etc... did

    Hatton looked good against Paulie.

Hatton wasnt going to beat Pac no matter who trained him.

Luke *** is right that hatton didnt follow directions. But the most ****ed up thing Floyd Sr did is not wait around to see if Hatton was ok, you dont just leave your guy out on the canvas like that

I don't buy that. There were dark rumours of trouble in the camp. And the ress conference farce when Floyd disgracefully turned up late.
Don't get me wrong , ricky was well beaten and is clearly the lesser fighter but Mayweather arrived with the big fanfare after Billy Graham was sacked. I think Rivky would have been better off with the bodybag.
I bet Mayweather got a fortune for his work with Hatton.

Asking Mayweather Sr. was a big mistake. Mayweather Sr. tried to change Hatton's fight style. Not a good idea. Not to mention that Sr. is an irresponsible dumb ass. He didn't really train Hatton. He went there to be in the camera. And seriously who the hell can understand what Sr. is saying? Sr. made Hatton worst.

Hatton should have stayed with who brought him to the dance, Billy Graham......his original trainer.:good

Roger Mayweather Sr. is a blood sucking leech.

What about Hatton with Paulie M? Not only did Hatton beat him but the manner in which he beat him. Hatton was easily outboxing him and using good movement. I expected hatton to win but I was surprised at the way he won.

Hatton against Pac used little head movement but he was stunned early and never really recovered or got into the fight. I dont really blame Sr for that because Hatton would never have gotten past Pac no matter who trained him.

My only beef with Floyd Sr on that one was leaving Hatton alone in the ring after he had been KOed and not even having the heart to see if he was okay.

Did you see that fight? Did you see Hatton training even back with his original coach? It was OBVIOUS that everything Hatton was told went in one ear and out the other.

-- He never jabbed though told to REPEATEDLY
-- He threw a lead left hook with his rear hand rubbing his left nipple

You want to put that on his trainer?

What big difference was Snr going to make?? Hatton was near or 30, he was a brawler who was never going to really make major improvements on his style. I dont care how many problems occured during the Pac training camp, he wasn't going to beat Pac. He basically invited Pac to knock him out, thats how **** poor his defense was.

The guy just never was a really good fighter, he was the result of his legion of fans and the British media hype machine.

No excuses for the defeat, he was battered by a superior fighter in a very poor performance but Mayweather was awful before, during and after that fight.
And he keeps spouting his ****..........

    And here we come to the " over-rated" " hype-job " " british "bull****.
There was a question, did Floyd, at the time if not now a highly rated trainer, make Hatton better, or worse ?

NO ****!!! Does everyone remember the 24/7 with Ricky saying Pac "Does the same fooking move with his right hand everytime, slip, duck throw the right, same fooking move everytime(laughing)" only to be DROPPED like 150 lbs of **** BY SAID MOVE AND RIGHT HAND in the 1st round. His ego was only matched by his appetite.:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
