Does anybody think that he'll be able to secure bigger fights financially once he gets out. I know he was locked up before but I believe the public is always fascinated with a fighter who is fresh out of jail. What are your thoughts?

Despite a lot of peoples BS when they claim they do not care for people who are colourful and have a colourful past, that they prefer people who are humble and are goody two shoes, the reality is that the people who are controversial tend to do better at the box office. So i think James will came back bang at the box office. Prison will add to his Aura of being a bad ass and people will be interested to see where he stands after his time served.

I am a fan of James and wish him the best!

To be fair,,, I dont know if James was really "playing gangsta" as you say.

The guy grew up in a real rough area,,, he knows alot of desparate people (and more importantly, they know HIM... and the kind of money he's starting to make)

He wasn't buying that pistol to go rob a liquior store... IMO, he believed he needed it for protection. (which is "normal" thinking in Texas btw) And, he was already robbed at gun-point once in recent years,,, so the paranoia in his case was somewhat justified.

Just sayin,,, Don't judge the guy too quick without knowing the facts,,, and having some basic understanding of his reality.

I'm not sure Hopkin's prison stay earned him any fans, didn't earn McCline any brownie points nor do I think Kirkland is going to receive any positive spin from this. Maybe if he was higher profile before we got locked up, but in his case all I think it did was take him out of the public eye.

For all we know, he may be done. So he comes out and goes back to the same neighborhood and this time he doesn't buy a gun for protection? If he was making decent money, he should have move out. Good luck to him, but he maybe just another loose canon.
