The "All Things Mayweather/Pacquiao" Express!!!!!!

Someone already mentioned it in a different thread but it's just tough **** if Pac wasn't able to do better than 1.4 million with his fight with Clottey. If a talk show host is able to get a bigger celebrity on his show he's going to get better ratings than his top competitor. The powers that be will not jump out and say, "Hmm, well, it isn't really fair that Leno got paid more because he had Will Smith on his show and Letterman had John Wayne Bobbitt."

I'm not shittin' on Pac. Just calling it like I see it. If his PPV numbers show he is neck-to-neck with Floyd then by all means he deserves 50/50. But that's not the case, is it? I realize he's arguably the bigger star worldwide but I'm afraid his overseas credit isn't valid in his business in America. He could've raked in 3 million buys in Thailand fighting Joe Schmo and it still wouldn't have mattered.

I don't blame Pac for asking for a lot of money though. It's actually a smart business move. I honestly don't care what they agree on. Just want to see that they finally are able to agree on something.

50-50 split is the way to go here for a fight of this magnitude. anything other than this is trying to duck or kill the fight. ffs, just get the fight on.

ok i know you are a floyd fan and you want floyd to earn so much more. so would you rather not want to see this fight than floyd earning a couple of millions more?

the fight is on the hinge of making or breaking becaue of this purse split.

 

The purse split will disappear from the news the second this fight gets signed.

for the record, i doesn't matter what the split is for me if both fighters agreed. but if this split becomes an issue why this fight is not made, then we all know who is to blame.

Whatever gets the fight signed. But I won't hold it against pacquiao for refusing to give up 10 million to floyd.

M if this fight grossed $100M. but if pac still wants to scarifice it to appease floyd's primadonna demands, then props to him. it means he really wants this fight.

 

Huh? I don't care if he earns more or takes the fight for free. I understand why he won't take a BS offer though.

All I care about is understanding why people feel Pac "deserves" 50/50 and the data points validating this. A bad offer is as good as no offer. Fighters price themselves out of fights all the time. I want to know why you guys feel that 50/50 is a reasonable split for Pac given the facts that we know.
