what would have been amazing other than BBC or ITV. ESPN would be no better.

Sky going back to saturdays is very good news. it means bigger fights as you can get US tv involved to.

Re-read the posts in this 14 page (!!!!) thread and then tell me that this news isn't completely underwhelming.

    :deal

    I blame Tony Bellew :bart:lol:

It's just a regular Sky deal ffs! Alright Saturday night boxing is good and hopefully we get some quality cards but was expecting more.

  6. This sounds like great news. Don't quite understand the fuss?? What did you all expect, ITV to show boxing all day long?

So, to be clear, FW has signed a deal with Sky to show boxing, non ppv, every Saturday night, yes? For how long? And will this effect FFN?

As long as Maloney and Hatton still get their FFN bills this is great! Now they just need to bin Prizefighter..........

I don't wish to sound like a grumpy git and ungrateful but I wish Sky would do a deal with TR or GBP.

    No.

(and check out the recent TV threads on this, people were expecting a damn sight more!!):D

  9. Sorry, once a month on a Sat night - yes?

I know people were expecting more, but I'd like a smaller **** too. You can't have everything.

    You're finding 4 inches a problem?

(Yep, I think its once a month. Hopefully the QC on the fights will have to improve over the Friday night offerings).

    Is that it?

Jeez I was expecting something good.

Like a retirement announcement or confirmation that the Commonwealth and WBO titles are no longer to be sanctioned by the board

So Saturday night boxing it is thats fair enough and will be a good to have alongside the boxing on Fridays. I think Warren really needs to push his Olympians put them on seperate cards as it will benefit them in the long term. I wouldnt mind seeing Frankie Gavin headlining a card. DeGale could do it as well same as Saunders and hopefully we see Groves V DeGale in the next 6 months or so that will be the making of either fighter and will push them up the rankings and to a British title fight. The 3 Olympians are Warrens new cash cow if he markets them right on there own.

lets just hope that theres a stipulation in there to make the shows more competitive than your average ffn
