    That's the silver lining.

Did I even need another reason to hate Dana? :-(

can't argue with the results, he has been competitive in every fight he's lost except silva but he STILL LOST.

He's on no worse a skid than Chuck Liddell or Jens Pulver...but Dana selectively has a soft spot for some guys...with no rhyme or reason, some are douchebags and some are nice guys.

They don't come much nicer than the Dean of Mean (ironic as that sounds).

The man lost 4 fights in a row he needs to rebuild himself no problem here.

Jardine was an excellent gatekeeper in the 205 weight class and always put on entertaining fights. I don't think he deserved to go, but then again, that's the business. Still, I doubt he will be out of the fight game long. He could probably make some noise in a Bellator tournament, and Strikeforce will most definitely give him a preliminary call.

Likely lost his likeness forever right? Does Dana still own him in that sense?

Jardine seems to always come up just a little short against top fighters, but then again some times he gets absolutely smashed, ala Houston Alexander, Wanderlei Silva and Thiago Silva.

Kimbo was cut after losing one fight. I don't think Kimbo was going any where at Heavyweight, but he is a well know name fighter, and I am surprised Dana didnt keep him around just for the attention that it would bring to his events.
