I don't think anyone in Ireland has a clue who Deano is. Although among boxing fans in Dublin I'd love to see how support would be if he was to fight here. Look how much hard work they have had to put in to get Andy Murray well known and still I wonder if he's proving to be a big enough draw for them - until he gets a big day, which I expect is in the pipeline now. That said maybe Dean could be fast-tracked a little more (as said above). It's sad but the best thing going for an Irish fighter seems to be the connection that can get them a British shot, that route is a good way to go.
I think Byrnes in the same boat as when Dunne came home from the US the majority of fans wont know a lot about him like Dunne but start him off in the National stadium like Dunne. Now what is vital get him onto Irish tv asap be it TV3 in the morning on there breakfast show do the radio stations and get him on the panel for a RTE fight night card and then after that promote him and see how it takes off. I feel Dean may well end up doing a Andy Lee a few fights here and a few fights in the US but from the you tube interviews he has done he has the potential to be a new Irish star with the gift of the gab he will be packing the Stadium out.

I have given Mr Pitt Bull are warning not to use Irish slurs.....this fight is a pick-em IMO......Chavez looked horrible in his last fight, and while Duddy did not look that good himself, I think he's far more mentally tough.....we shall see.
