Will probably be a load of domestic fights - Gomez vs Arthur, Ayers vs Rigby I, Moore vs Macklin etc. :yep

 

What a fight. I'm sure Frank Warren said something along the lines of that was the greatest British fight he'd been ringside for since Ben v Eubank or something. I always wonder how AA's career would have differed had he won the fight.

 

Yes and no really pal. I know it's never gonna be considered a classic but I thought the way Marco boxed that night was really good. A definitive counter boxing lesson. And I love Marco and never liked Hamed so it's always a nice one to watch for me much in the same vein that De La Hoya/vargas is :good

 

In no particulat order, although I think Pryor vs Arguello I is the greatest fight ever, and I just watched it a while ago.

I think a lot of one-sided fights (not that Barrera vs Hamed was THAT one-sided) fall into the great fight category, even though it should be under ''great performance''.

Mosley vs Margarito was one of the most damaging, one-sided beatings I can remember, especially given that Margarito ate about a thousand power shots from Cintron and Cotto, laughed and then stopped both...... he was a big fave against Shane :yikes

Even with the handwrap controversy I still find myself respecting him after taking that beating and still having the stones to want more and complain about the stoppage...... strange I know.

 

What I like. I missed out loads, just depends what mood I'm in.

 

I felt Cotto's biggest mistake was that he did not sit down on his shots enough to hold Margarito off, instead he let him come forward.

Cotto vs Margarito is probably the best fight I have watched live.

You just try to show off in my opinion pulling out obscure fights and obscure fighters in order to impress other posters, instead of actually listing things you genuinely like. IIRC Addie has pulled you on that a few times too.

I aint watched Arguello v Olivares in years

 

On a serious note, i don't really know.

Definitely Duran-Leonard 1, when you talk about a moment in history with the highest degree of greatness/skill in the ring at any given time, then this is up there, right in contention for that honour.

Barrera-Morales 1, probably my favourite fight, straight up, they really left it all in the ring.

You'd have to have Corrales-Castillo 1 in there, for the sheer drama factor.

Then some personal faves, i really liked Tapia-Romero 1

I haven't seen it all but from what i've seen i loved Ross-McLarnin 3

Jung Koo Chang vs Katsuo Tokashiki is a great fight.

I liked Edgar Sosa vs Brian Villoria

Hagler-Hearns of course, when i first saw this fight, it one was of the first videos of boxing i bought as a kid, and i had only just started becoming heavily obsessed with boxing history, i didn't know how the fight would turn out so i actually watched it just like anyone would for the first time really, so the excitement and shock was genuine.

Jofre-Harada 1 is such a good fight it's silly

And i got to throw my man in there, Rudkin-Rose

Anyway, that's just off the top of my head. You wouldn't guess it from my list but i love to watch Bernard Hopkins, nothing better than watching a master at work, and it annoys the life out of me when people don't like to watch him and degrade his performances.

I genuinly love these fights and they are my favrouites. I'm not going to show off by mentioning some weird fights, seriously you think I would show off that way?

I like what I like, I dont like it because I want to like it and be different and impress. Also on that list I would say 5 of them are 'recognised' great fights, the other 5 is fights that if you watched you would ove them aswell.

I love that when watching a fight and you haven't read about it in the past and you don't know what's going to happen. For example, I was watching Brown vs Cherifi (I uploaded it to Youtube, watch it if you can, awesome fight) and was jumping out of my chair as if I was watching it live.
