Wlad is also fast handed (especially for being the giant of a man he is) , and Wlad probably has more KO power than Haye, but I think Haye is a bit faster handed.........AND weilds power so lethal even a short, unseen *phantom* blow can drop someone.

I can't think of any heavyweight since Tyson who is a rare combination of speed and crippling knockout power. Haye dropped Ruiz by merely touching him on the snoot. Like him or not, his combination of speed AND power is something to be in awe of.

When he finally does take on one of the Klitsckhos, its gonna be fireworks from the getgo.

He might be chinny but he is EXTREMELY gifted boxer, athlete.
Haye has Great Power, he is VERy Explosive puncher, fast hands, good reflexes GOOD EYE for counter punching when he see the opening he damn well uses his chances. at times he seems to lose his focus and looks bit sloppy but so far he had done it well.

Too bad most of his fans(not all) are absolutely assholes. And what bothers me also is that Haye seems to not loving boxing that much(=being busy talking about early retirement etc).

But all in all he is one of a kind.

 

As a whole, Haye's handspeed is overrated. He has good speed when it comes to single shots (mainly the right hand), but not so much when it comes to combinations. The combos aren't very fast nor fluid.

As far as being a powerful puncher, Tommy Morrison was a quicker puncher than Haye. He could hit and hits hand speed wasn't limited to single shots, he was a crisp and fast combo puncher as well.

 

He is a knockdown puncher, not a knockout puncher... so no!

Haye got better punch and Hand speed than Tommy he is also more explosive.

Had Juicing Tommy fight Haye, Haye would take Tommy out before one minute by counter Right Hand.

 

Tommy Morrison surely had better hand speed with his combinations than Haye. Maybe not single shots, but he threw much quicker and more fluid combos. He may have lacked a chin, proper training habits, and knowledge of safe sex, but the ability to throw quick and powerful combos is not one of them.

I don't understand the huge awe that people have about Haye's speed. It's pretty good, but nothing great. Hand speed shouldn't be limited to single shots, it should also be for combinations as well.

eh, if you're not too nitpicky, this is agreeable. KD's lead to TKO, which is counted under the KO column if you win by that. If an opponent is KD'd involuntarily or voluntarily takes a knee, its because of something magical happening...

Christ Haye's handspeed is overrated. He throws ONE fast shot at a time. He throws combinations and they're choppy, lack fluidity, and he loses his speed.

 

David Haye's handspeed is totally, totally overrated.

Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson where both by far faster, and could actually throw combinations. David Haye works in 2s and 3s pretty much like Floyd Mayweather. But the only difference is, he is not as accurrate as Mayweather and does not have the speed to pot shot.........Floyd Mayweather can throw combinations if he wants..........i don't think David Haye has the ability to reel off 4-5 punch combinations in the pocket.

He looks amatuerish, when he attempts to let his hands go at times...and just starts to miss by miles.

He was missing, John Ruiz at times with plenty of shots.

I think his power is overrated aswell.......he does hit hard, don't get me wrong.

He just is'nt the power puncher some people think he is.

 

Haye's tough European style surpasses that of Tyson's unrefined and crude technique in my opinion, but, in terms of sheer knockout power, I believe they are comparable.

Haye is easily faster and just as powerful.

No way a prime tyson was so skillfull with his bobbing and weaving and huge hooks, far better then haye.
