I'll be honest and say I think in the back of his mind Fedor wanted to lose. It wasn't concious but subconcious. Look at his body language in the post-fight interview. Relief. He is not hungry anymore. If he really cared he would have kept the fight standing where there would be no chance for werdum. As soon as he went to the ground, I felt he was giving the fight away. On a side note, **** Dana and everyone who put pressure on this poor guy.
i don't know man, i don't think he wanted to lose.. i think he honestly made a mistake, for the first time, and it cost him. it makes me laugh that dana is going to be thrilled by this.. and anyone else that gets so giddy fedor lost is pathetic. when people have to laugh over the shortcomings of others who have accomplished so much it's sad... can't wait to hear the endless trolling now.
Fedor did not want to lose. If so, then we have been watching a fraud. Thats not his spirit. The way he was attacking Werdum on the ground it was obviously was NOT a man not trying to lose. He was very active, to active and looking very strong. The beauty of MMA is that there are many many ways to lose. Tonight he found one. Here is what we learned tonight. Fedor loses the same way he wins. He's stoic and intense. If anything, I feel more respect and awe by the way he went out. He was working his ass off until the end, didn't make a single excuse and offered words of wisdom.
I don't really care for MMA. But that's just bull****. It's the same **** in every combat sport. Someone builds up a legacy, beating all the best people. Then the minute they lose all the naysayers want to come out and bull****. Then the "fans" who were secretly hoping the guy would lose anyway, abandon ship. "UFC fighters were better...he was always too small...I told everyone he wasn't that good." Nevermind people were saying the same things for the past decade when the guy was kicking everyone's asses. Bet it was the same way with Tyson after the Douglas loss. Guy gets defeated, admits he lost, shows humility and people have to come in as soon as possible with this ****. It's just pathetic.

I'm happy to see Werdum win but Fedor is likely to win a rematch. So you only watch MMA because of Fedor? Wow. That's like saying you only watch movies with Brad Pitt in them. Yeah, forget a great storyline and quality acting. It's only a great film when Pitt is shooting a gun with his shirt off, right?

Big Nog... One minute i recall a fight between Fedor and a prime Nog... actually did they fight? Someone said it was 3 times... I think i remember Nog's head getting treated like a football...Could be wrong though.
