He turns 29 next month. Wasn't he being hyped up as a future ATG by many here? What happened? I dont see him achieving that status, he is entering what will probably be the last couple of years of his prime and with his style his career may end even sooner.

Champion in two weight classes and has beaten every man he has faced in the ring. Not bad and he still has a long way to go.

...he biggst wins are over a shot winky wright and a controversial decision over sergio martinez.

i dont believe a win over sergio martiez will mean anything down the stretch

his p4p status comes from hype only.

he is ducking sergiy dzinziruk. in my view, paul williams cannot becocme a euro-level talent until he develops his resume

wow bro... take that dick out of your ass

he tried to fight everyone at 147 and nobody stepped up
    154 is empty
he fought martinez and won by a point..
tried to fight pavlik but he ducked

its hard to be an atg when theres nobody to fight and the ones who you can fight won't fight you

Hard to get all the fights when you are not a big name. What benefit is there for anyone to fight him?

i will not tolerate being disrepected in this forum. Williams has plenty of options. He can fight dzinzurik. he can build his resume at 147 with names like collazo and clottey until he becomes mandatory for a belt. he can then win a belt and give fighters greater incentive to fight him.

He didn't duck anyone and beat the man in that division, Sergio Martinez.

how did he bcome the "man." by beating alex bunema? or by drawing with american-level opponents like kermit cintron? because that is all he had done by the time paul williams beat him.

He was regarded as the best fighter in that division.

your clearly a hater if you want this guy to fight colllazo & clottey... he beat winky who is a poorer version of clottey & he beat martinez who is 1000x better than collazo...

how about a match at 154 with cotto?

    how about that one?

being regarded as the best fighter in a division, and being "the man" are two different things.

you still did not answer my questio, what did he do to become "the man" in the division.
