I respect Fedor as a fighter, I respect him even more as a man, he was a great champion and has done things his way, much respect for that. That being said, Brock Lesnar is the strongest, most explosive athlete to ever compete in the Heavyweight division of MMA. I understand why a "Purist" would resent Brock and what he brings, but the bottom line is that like it or not, there is no one right now that would beat him.

You should probably wait till he's fought more than 4 opponents until you make such statements. There are still so many questions he has yet to answer.

Not for nothing, but Brock would have/could have beat Fedor prior to last night. :conf

No need to be jingoistic about this. You are being overly emotional and petulant. You are letting your hatred of america and disappointement about Fedor losing ofuscate what should be obvious. That being that #1 - Fedor, as great as he is, is human and can lose. #2 - Lesnar and Carwin are two huge, formidable fighting machines that would be a potential problem for anyone Fedor included.

    Agreed.

A lot of posters here and elsewhere resent his success in the few fights he has had and are only waiting for the man to lose.

Being big, strong and explosive doesn't make him an ATG but don't rule out him beating Fedor in 2010 and beyond.

This could force Fedor into UFC in my view. The rematch with Werdum has to happen and he'll probably win it, lets be honest here, he was dominating the fight before getting caught in a way that we've seen many dominant fighters be caught before - in MMA, you get one mistake and then you're out, it's not like boxing where you can recover from one mistake.

But with everyone saying "Oh, he had to fight a guy twice to win against him and he wasn't even good enough for UFC" - it might force Fedor to take up UFC to prove himself.

They shouldn't be counted out despite their limited ground game as they are two very quick handed and accurate strikers. :bbb

I'm quite certain Brock's Achilles heel is actually his heels..

He doesn't have the flexibility in his body to overcome heel hooks, ankle locks or knee bars.. I can almost guarantee it.

Um - How many triangle submissions does Brock have in his 5-1 career?
