Gatti vs Ward...Are their fights considered "Classic"???

    They were classics in the sense that they involved two evenly matched top 10 ranked action fighters with "tough guy" reputations. Neither of them was a legit contender but both had a ton of heart and gave fans what they wanted to see for an entire fight. The only thing that separates the first Gatti-Ward encounter from Corrales-Castillo was the talent level of the fighters involved...:good

    Was I the only one that thought Gatti won the first fight handily? Outside of the knockdown, Gatti pretty much tooled him. Ward was really a poor fighter outside of that left hook to the body. He could fare well enough with in-fighting B-level guys, but he was extremely limited, and a terrible mid-range/out-boxer. Even a guy like Colin Jones, hampered by similar disadvantages, had a much better jab, head movement, and mid-range game.
