I Think Styles wise it's a bad fight for Angulo. Cintron has a rediculous amount of power and he has pretty decent boxing ability and movement when he uses it. Inorder to beat Angulo you have to be able to out maveuver him and then you have to be able to pop hard enough to keep him off of you. Alcine is a boxer with okay mobility and a counter puncher. Just the type of fighter you don't want to be against a skilled, hard hitting swarmer. Plus I don't believe alcine is either as mobile or as hard a puncher as Cintron, worse yet he looked pretty rusty in the comback fight I saw of him. He maybe able to give angulo some problems but I see it being a TKO stoppage or a comfortable UD. Just my take on it though. I'll admitt I haven't seen enough tape of Alcine to be fully confident in making this prediciton. But from what I know thats how I see it.
Alcine is getting a little under-rated here boys... it's not a "joke of a fight"! Sure, I agree Angulo is on a nice roll right now and should get the win anyway... but Alcine deserves a little more respect here.
Alcime is a very smooth boxer who likes to use angles and has very good defense. The bad thing about Alcime is he doesnt tend to throw many shows and Angulo does. I fear that even if he out boxes angulo (which he should) he will eventually get tired from the relentless pressure from angulo. Style wise I definitely favor Alcime. If he can hang tough and keep turning angulo and blocking angulo well he can make easy work of angulo
Yeah, it depends on how Alcine shows up. We'll more or less know a minute into the first round how the night is going to progress.
Angulo stepped up and fought his first belt holder and lost clearly now he faces another former belt holder this is a step up for him we will see how he handles it if he wins he is the real deal if he loses then thats just another bump in the road
I wouldn't say it's quite that cut and dry. If Alcine looks good and Angulo still wins, then maybe Angulo is the real deal (but will still always be up ****'s creek stylistically against the true slicksters of the game). If Alcine looks good and beats Angulo - well, then El Perro is a man with limits, which we already knew. If Alcine looks like **** and Angulo blows him out - well, it's just more record padding. If Alcine looks like **** and beats Angulo - that's embarrassing. Hell, even if Alcine looks like **** and Angulo lets him hang around and wins a decision - that's embarrassing.
Alcine isn't all that. He was lucky that he caught Simms on the slide and was able to win a belt for a short while. Also, his stamina isn't that great, and we all know Angulo just keeps applying the pressure. He might make it a close fight early by boxing, but eventually Angulo will wear him down. I expect it to look kind of like the Julio fight.
