Lewis is in. Calzaghe will get in as soon as he's been retired for enough years.

    Lewis is already in it.

I think Hammed, Hatton, Calzaghe will all eventually get inducted.

Who did Hamed actually beat that proved his class?

Lesser fighters have got in, he defended his title(s) for 5 years and brought unmatched entertainment and popularity to the lower weight classes.

yeah, but the first elite fighter he fought he was beaten embarrassingly,

p.s - and I'm a Hamed fan by the way, but he does'nt belong in the hall of fame, I would gladly go into more detail about why if you want, because I do enjoy talking about his career, he was entertaining (I've got every fight of his)

I think Hamed is a cert to get in for the same reasons that Hatton will probably make it. Its the Hall of Fame and think those fighters popularity/ profile will probably get them voted in sooner or later.

yeah if its them reason's then there certs, but for me I believe the hall of fame should be for what you achieved in the ring.

and Hatton and Hamed did'nt achieve enough, they were top world class boxers that had good careers, but their not all time greats.

Yes, but you should be following the HOF's criteria, not what you think the criteria should be.

    Peter Kane
    John Conteh
    Howard Winstone
    Prince Naseem
    Chris Eubank
    Nigel Benn

All have legitimate claims. With some it's more overdue than others though.

well the thread starter did ask us, who we thought deserves to be in, and I was just giving the reasons for my opinions, thats all.

and the criteria is not based on fame, if it was, then Howard Cosell would of been inducted 20 years ago instead of this year.

Its not mainly fame but its not purely ring achievements either. I think from past inductees the judges have shown that fighters like Naz can get in based, at least partly, on criteria other than what they accomplished inside the ring.
