I understand what your saying, but Bute hasnt got long to wait before he has options. We are in the final round of fights now meaning two fighters will be eliminated soon. So soon Bute will have options to fight either Dirrell, Froch, or AA after Brinkley which isnt too bad.

I would also suggest that having the ALL the best fighters in it would b a bad idea. Now every1 is talking about who is the best SMW, Bute or Ward. This argument will continue if boy guys keep winning, thus building the fight for the future. Seems to me to be win win.

Yes, its great for boxing! Look at the Pac vs Floyd and the Wlad vs Haye circus! All talk but no action. A tournament brings much more excitement to fans imo, cuz we now for sure they will fight each other!

That's the main thing. Suppose your favorite fighters had thier bouts scheduled(against the best) for the next couple of years? Great.

    Of course it is.

Tournaments like the Super Six makes the best fight each other.

You Sir have a good sense of it all, but it would have taken Bute over a year to fight someone better than Andrade, who I feel is still in the SMW Top 10. In a sport were you should fight at least 2 or 3 times a year, 1 great fight a year is not too much to ask, I hope. But, patience should pay down the road. In the mean time, I will keep on watching S6 to find out who will be the next victim of a vicious uppercut to the body....

Honestly, anyone thinking otherwise probably isnt worth wasting energy on discussing the issue with lol...

It is dissapointing though that the ratings havent gotten better.... id be interested in knowing how the ratings have done. Im gonna go look that up.

Great for boxing as a whole, but it could be career suicide for many guys.

My take on this is that the ratings are about on the same level as the action on the ring, not bad but not great. Maybe the 3rd round will bring something different.

I love the idea, the matchups, and the potential to have one guy represent a weight class. I wish the timetable was more consensed than it is, but overall I think it would work well in many weight classes.

yes, though the time its taking is a real pain in the ass. It also bars immediate good match ups, like who wouldn't have wanted to see Ward-Abraham immediately after the first round of fighting? But overall its good it ensures some relevant fights for the next year or so.

The only fight that's been fairly easy to predict so far is Ward v Green.

The tournament has offered some fascinating match ups, and is the most interesting thing to happen in boxing.

I think the Super 6 Classic Boxing tournament will be an event that will stay in boxing history.... its such a vast event that will keep boxing enthusiasts talking about it for years to come

I honestly hope this event pans out financially for the promotions cuz i wanna see more of this in other weightclasses... it IS a hard thing to ask for a fighter's management to be committed to an event for the next 3 years though....
