... he now wins only by showing up.

In his last two fights, against Solis and MAB, he did not do anything special, but his opponents just folded during the fights, and realized they don't have any chance of winning, and just gave up..:yep

That 3rd round destruction of Morales certainly amped that reputation.

Now, I'd love to see him do these to the JMM, Guzman, Soto, and Valero... :bbb

nobody reaches tyson's reputation, ever IMO. mab and solis knew they would not win but tyson's opponents did not want to be in the same ring with that animal

Mike Tyson put the fear of God into men. Thats real. You had 200lb men heavyweights quaking in there boots when they saw him in the other corner. There has been NO ONE in ALL of boxing other than possibly a young Jack Dempsey who had that aura.Mike looked the part and was the part. Pac is just a tiny little Fillipino.Who`s going to be scared of him? :huh

What are you talking about? Solis was fighting trying to win points, and trying to use the JMM blue print and was not skilled enough to be significant. MAB would slug it out when tried but decided it was better to do a half assed job and pick up the check at the end of the fight. Pacman is no Tyson.

i don't think afraid is the proper word. mab was clearly not willing to exchange against pac because he knows he may get caught but i really think afraid is too strong a word for that

Morrisey, stop this nonsense. You are just ridiculing yourself and make the Pac fans look stupid!

It's the title like this that make the non-Pac fans look at the Pac fans with disdain.

    Please delete this thread.

Solis was not really hurt. HE could have still fought. But chose not to.

MAB was just contented shying away from the contacts. He never went to win the bout, but to survive.

He is now winning fights by sheer reputation alone.

scurlaruntings, would you not say that Sonny Liston had that effect on people before he fought Ali? I'm no expert on Sonny, but from what I've read, he had a similarly chilling aura.

Totally agree. He slipped my radar. Liston was feared greatly for his menacing aura and then large physical size for a heavy. There were very few heavys though that had that menace.Actually a young George Foreman was also another one that struck the fear of God into men.I watched him on a 500lb heavy bag putting dents in it!!!!

Tyson's aura in terms of intimidating his opponents is different from Pac's but nevertheless, they get the same result.

It is more on the reputation.

And I don't think anyone right now brings that kind of reputation, of a punching threat, wherein the opponents just feel once they hit by Pac's punches, it will be over.
