Vic was not a bum until he met donaire.. Donaire turned him into a bum by dominating him with an iron fist. IT was a one sided beatdown which is why a rematch is not neccesary. OUtcome would be the same.

That is also the win that proved disaster to his career.

Now they are seeing him as a tall fighter for his division who can bang and have very good skillset.

Anybody would have a reason not to fight him. Darchinyan backed out in the rematch, so was Montiel. I don't think Mijares would be competitive, nor Arce. Donaire is simply big, mobile and fights tall at 115.

he made a cool 250,000 beating up a straw weight. I think Arum is gonna have big plans for him once Manny retires.

He's got a lot left. Its too bad his best years though are being wasted.

I think that's the point though. Arum and Top Rank can't promise things will all fall into place as they say for Nonito once Manny retires.

Arum would like for Donaire to be the heir to Pacquiao in terms of Filipino support, but from now until the time that Manny retires, a whole lot could happen. Someone else might come along that steals the thunder, or Nonito somehow loses, or something else.

Barring all that, there's still the chance that his compatriots don't take to him the way they did Manny, it's not always a given, this charisma thing.

Sometimes, you have to overstep your handlers and take your career by the balls. If you are a boxer, they work for you, you don't work for them.

To the un-trained eye people can't see this guy has prob with resistance he get's taken down the stretch he is in bad shape. Could be a product of weight draining? lack of suppliments/shakes?who knows. This is the very reason why he hired Conte for those x-tra juices.

This is why I don't think people should say he is going to do....or is avoided.Kid looks beatable.I feel if the conditioning improves kid is very sleek and has speed and skillz.

I saw Sugar Shane Mosley i thought meng this guy looks jittery against Cotto and Marqarito Floyd would dismantle him.And heck even May snr saw what I saw ( the jitters syndrome). Just read what Hernan Marquez had to say about NONITO.
