Now I'm guessing the winner of Marquez - Diaz II isnt going to fight Kats. So who do you think would be a good opponent for him ?

Barrera is looking for a shot at a lightweight titlist. Would be a good match up.

How long does kats need to hang about as interim champ before he gets a shot at the title?

I believe the WBO has ordered the winner of Marquez Diaz to fight Katsidis. If they refuse he gets the full title. I'm not sure on the timeframe though.

scene at another website Katsidis asked if he could have a fight in Australia on July 31 but the WBO said no.i assume because they want him free for the JMM-dIAZ WINNER.the article says if the winner fights Khan Katsidis will fight to have the winner stripped of the title so he can be the full title holder if they refuse to fight him.

With constant squabbles over what 'champions' are meant to be doing, its pretty clear interim titles are the bread winner for these governing bodies. As soon as an interim title is vacated, its successor is imediately made aparent.

All the while The Arums of this game are **** farting around deliberating on the next safety challenge for a Champion, or who should prove the most financially beneficial to them as Champ.

love to see Kat fight the winner but he needs another fight before that, like most inactivity will hurt him.

He is in his prime....needs at least 3 fights a year.

Absolutely, since regardless of the outcome there I think both are faded enough that Mike has a good chance.
