How many times has Floyd been an underdog since he came out of retirement? Floyd had JMM step up to a weight he never fought in his life and on top of it paid him so he could be even bigger just in case. Watch the fight JMM hardly can reach him. JMM is the goods but not above 140.
Then Shane. Shane had to come back down to 147 and was off an 18 month layoff. Floyd was a 3-1 favorite. The only surprise of the whole fight was that Floyd got hurt worse than ever in his entire career.

The only reason Floyd got rocked vs Shane was because of Manny.
Floyd got backed into a corner when the Manny deal did not get done.
He had to come up with a big fight. if not for Manny he would have fought Yuri Foreman. Manny is finally keeping Floyd honest and now he can walk away as the #2 or fight the man he believes is too good to not be on steroids. Floyd has pot shot speed. Manny has blinding twisting crisp speed not from needles but from hard work and integrity.

So what your saying is that Pacquiao's ducking of Mayweather to fight an easier b=fight with Clottey forced Mayweather to fight Mosley who stuned Mayweather in the second round of their bout?
Since comming back Mayweather has fought twice both times against top 3 p4p ratted boxers. Even if Marquez was a weight to high. Keep in mind it was a comeback fight. Mosley was comming off beating a guy who detractors of Mayweather clam he has avoided in Margrito.
During that same time period Pacquiao fought Cotto (at a catchweight) and Clottey.
I would take the Marquez and Mosley that Mayweather fought over the Cotto and Clottey Pacquiao fought.
Pacquiao being an underdog to De La Hoya shows that odds makers don't know everything.
The last time Pacquiao beat a truly great boxer in his prime was March 15 2008. His second bout with Marquez. A fight that a good amount of people fell Marquez won. The last time he domanted a great boxer in his prime was November 15 2003 when he beat Berrera for the first time.
The last time anyone was competive with Mayweather was March 20 2002 the first Casitilio fight. The last time he beat and domantaed a truly great boxer in his prime was May 1 2010 when he beat Mosley. I find it funny that he turned old on May 2 2010.
Mayweather takes more risks than Pacquiao when it comes to oppoents. It is not close.

OK. It’s clear that you and I have a different idea of what reading and comprehension is all about. That is to suggest that you might be as stupid as the day is long and perhaps cope with your inability to interpret the meaning of words properly by making things up to compensate. Perhaps you have a leaning towards imagination rather than an ability to read and understand because every misinterpretation you make generally includes or is followed by an example of overstatement. Perhaps this is also why you churn out your responses with such authority – because you actually believe your own ****. Moreover, perhaps this is a common set of symptoms exhibited by *****s in general.

Here are some examples to help:

I’ll take that as a ‘Yes’ then and so, when you state earlier in this thread: FMJ will beat the brakes off of Pac. Pac knows it. That is why he won't sign this fight, you were just being verbose and, for a moment, imagined your certainty of these points until reality set back in?

Also, given the oddsmakers, which you rely on to support this sweeping statement of yours, will neither run a book on whether Pacquiao “knows” he’s going to get beaten or not nor on the reasons why the contract isn’t being signed, I will assume you are also admitting to not being actually certain of either the assertions you make on these points.

Yeah…that would be a wise U-turn because stating opinions as fact is not clever. Really – it isn’t.

What you really mean is, there was one round where Clottey threw at a connect rate of 48% (he never got close to repeating that in any other round), which happens to be the round he threw the least punches in and still managed to get outlanded by more than 2-1. This, in your mind, means that Clottey could hit Pacquiao “at will”.

Man, Clottey must be kicking himself for that low output he was throwing throughout the fight then because, with his ability to hit Pacquiao “at will” and his landing at a connect rate of 48% in that one round, he might have won easy but wait…

…Yeah…he was too busy defending a '103 punches per round average' coming in the opposite direction from the ‘rocked’ Pacquiao. Bummer!

This point above is yet another example of overstated imagination. Actually, describing this as misinterpretation and overstatement doesn’t do it justice – were you stoned when you typed this ****?

This is by far the dumbest set of comments you have made, so far, mainly on account of them being so starkly ridiculous, without all the noise you usually bring when justifying your “position”.

I asked for you to point me to the source evidence or “video” you mentioned in order to verify your assertions on what you report as Roach having said (“too good” and “scared”). Instead, you come back with “I am paraphrasing”. In other words: Roach didn’t actually say what I said he did, I was just putting words in his mouth to support my biased point of view.
Either that or you do not have a source to reference.

I like the way you call me a fool at the same time that you are so blatantly dodging the fact you are bullshitting me here – nice touch! Either provide a link to the video or admit that you were making **** up.

Additionally, I suggest you look up the words “paraphrasing”, “sane” and “scared” (and, btw, you might want to look up the words “irony” and “rationale”, while you’re at it, because you really do not have an idea of what these words mean either).

Also, the money fight was with Cotto.

You see…this is a clear example of you acting the ***** – Why? Because I could rip into Mayweather’s record with facts, without acknowledging Pacquiao’s shortfalls at the same time and you would call me a “*******” for doing so. There are few ledgers if any that are beyond reproach and Mayweather’s certainly isn’t one of them. Anyone who sits stubbornly on one side of the fence and refuses to provide the flipside to their reasoning is showing extreme bias. Believing this to be a righteous standpoint just adds to the stupidity of it.

Points like the one you have made above serve no purpose, other than to establish your favouritism because it is clearly one-sided against Pacquiao and overlooks the criticisms that could be made of your boy FMJ. That’s just being a Fan Boy. That’s just being a *****.

I am glad you enjoy your own simplicity. Ignorance is bliss. Good for you. I prefer to see things from a real world perspective, which you mock as being an “intelligent” response in the delusion that you are adding something of value. This does not surprise me from someone that lives in their own world and is happy to consistently share their ineptitude at sensible debate so gratuitously.

Your respect? Who was asking for it? What would respect from you count for? Based on what I have seen from you so far, not a lot.

Fortunately, I do not need your respect to be able to read, comprehend and easily see the glaring holes in the points you try to make and the clear bias you display in the process.

If it makes you feel better and that weak line of thinking you call a “position” seem stronger, by constantly referring to me (and others) as a “*******”, along with “idiot”, “moron”, “cornball” and “fool”, then be my guest. Doing so does not “constitute making valid counterpoints” and it doesn’t change the fact that you act like a dumb ***** when you fail to offer any balance to your observations, whatsoever. Everything you raise is grossly twisted and or overstated to make your extreme bias for Mayweather seem correct. This is the behaviour of a ***** and if you want to stop being labelled as one then stop acting like one.

You could not be more far off. I am not a casual fan and have worked with some well known fighters. I will leave it at that.
And yes this time it is so obvious that everyone can see it.
I would never say that in general the aggressor beats the boxer stylistically. However you have to give Manny credit for becoming one of the most effective aggressors in recent years. Speed wise what makes him special is that he has the blinding ability and the sharpness on his punches where others like Jones and Floyd are more pot shotters. Yes it works well and speed alone is deadly but having the extra dimension of crispness makes someone special and rise to #1 in a given decade.
If you claim to be such a knowledgeable boxing expert what possible weakness could you see in Manny ? What is your real breakdown of why Floyd beats him?

Manny his plenty of flaws some easy to spot while others are not.

One he doesn't use a jab this will be his biggest weakness against PBF because you must have one in order to beat PBF you need it to disrupt his rhythm and keep him honest if not he'll just pick you apart.

Two he can't effectively cut off the ring. You must be able to cut the ring off effectively. Pac couldn't even cut the ring off on Cotto but rather followed him around and he didn't look comfortable doing so.

Three He can't fight on the inside. PBF already has the advantage in reach so Pac can't beat him on the outside he must come inside if he stands a chance and Pac isn't an inside fighter.

Four He can't fight backing up which shows a lack of versatility in his game. PBF will come forward against him behind a high guard and he will be forced backwards at times.

Five Head hunter who neglects the body. It's very hard to land clean on PBF and going up top is not the way to beat him you must put a sustained body attack on him especially in the early rounds.

Six Poor defense lets be honest Pac isn't hard to hit hell he's there to be hit everyone finds him and his offense is basically his defense.

Seven comes in off balanced with his head down he can get away with that against lesser fighters but against some as accurate and sharp as PBF he will pay everytime for this reckless and dangerous approach

Eight lack of fighting guys with fast hands and feet guys who aren't there to be hit and guys who are natural athletes. This is a big one. How will pac react when he's not in the ring with a guy who has just as fast hands and feet as he does? Not only that he'll be in with a better boxer to boot.

Nine Counter-punchers this guy can't handle counter-punchers and is a sucker for them as seen in his two fights with JMM as a result he avoids them like the plauge

Ten Busts up too easily. Clottey barely touched him in their fight but he was busted up and swollen like he had been in a war. He looked like hell in his fight with Cotto as well. That's bad news against a guy as accurate as PBF.

Eleven Short Arms this will eventually lead to his downfall as he will have to come in against PBF to land which isn't a great idea. Not to mention PBF can hit him from the outside and still be out of range for the return

Twelve One dimensional attack Pac really only knows one way to fight and that's go to war. After he finds out that PBF is a harder target to hit clean than he anticipated and he won't fight his fight, than what? He can't outbox PBF or outhink him he's ****ed. His only chance at victory is in the first 3 rounds because after PBF figures him out he's done.

In conclusion Pac is a very limited and flawed fighter who has fought guys who he's had for the most part the stylistic advantages against. With PBF all of those advantages go out of the window because he's in with his stylistic nemesis. He will be outclassed by a master boxer in PBF when they meet. The difference in class will be evident by the mid rounds.:deal

Are you serious with this man? Normally I just read these ridiculous threads but this one is outrageous. Has anyone considered the five inch reach advantage that Floyd has over Manny? Being as though Manny's a southpaw who has very limited defense, this would make him an easy target for the right hand of Mayweather. JMM was able to hit Pacman at will, what makes you think Mayweather will not? While we are at it lets address the speed thing, speed does not matter if you do not use it for defense too. Those of us who actually BOX, and do not just make up these idiot threads know this. So instead of wasting time and energy agreeing with this foolishness, maybe google some interviews of real boxers speaking about who they think would win in the May vs Pac bout.:patsch

Rational thought isn't a trait found in *******s. Everytime you bring up the reach advantage they completely ignore it like it won't be a factor. Especially when he's going up against a Guy with just as fast hands who can beat him to the punch deadly accurate and a master counter puncher. People who have been in the ring know how important this is and know it can't be overlooked.

I've never, ever believed Floyd will agree to the fight with Pacquiao, and I still don't. He came up with a get-out clause when the planets were aligning to make the fight, with some pathetic and transparent bull**** about extra drug tests, and now that it seems Pacquiao is bending in order to get the fight on, we are hearing rumours of Floyd's intention to all of a sudden insist on a greater purse share. It's blindingly obvious that Floyd does not want to fight someone like Pacquiao (prime, hungry, driven, explosive), and I don't think it'll ever happen.

For a new member you obviously know exactly what the **** your talking about... the truth is posters like Pimp C and Eze will swear up and down Floyd dominates..... and they hold on to that now cus the fight itself isnt going to happen.
When the fight does happen and the truth is exposed, I promise you will not hear nothing from them you will hear crickets... there will be one excuse after another.
Floyd is a great fighter, then again so is Manny and to deny that is to basicly be out right full ******....
Style wise Floyd does have trouble with quick handed south paws and he was hurt by both Judah and Corley who do not have the power nor work rate that Pacquiao himself has...
in other words both Manny and Floyd have their work cut out for them come fight night.... But in the end I am more than confident that Pacquiao will be the winner.. so much so I am willing to leave ESB forever if Floyd does fight him and beat him.....

I am so confident as well either the fight wont happen or Manny wins that if Manny loses I will vow to never return. How anyone can think Floyd has great defense and chin when Mosley who against the elite (ODL,Winky, Cotto, Forest) never had them hurt and somehow years later he has Floyd nearly knocked out in the second round. Clottey is the exact same height and reach of Floyd and he got hit with 237 power shots. And yes it really was 237.

You'll leave esb because your anti pbf agenda will have made its last stand and you'll be finished out of business. You would be forced to accept everything you said about Floyd would have been proven wrong and couldn't live with that. You might as well leave now because pac is going to get the boxing lesson of a lifetime and I'll be here like i am after every Floyd fight ready to give pathetic irrational haters like you hell and I know it Burns you up to be on the wrong end of every Floyd fight and I love it.

u are aware that they were counting punches he threw when they were tied up and clinching...pnches that were not anything but keeping bsy and weren't even landing on the body?

Hence the reson the judges didnt score it for Cas like the compu numbers.

Void is a damned coward and a fraud. Castillo beat Void. Oscar beat Void. Pac will kick Void's chicken arse!
