Dana White Talks Fedor's Loss

A guy like White is never going to change. The sad part is too many of his fans will agree with everything he says. And that's when it becomes sad.
It's not even open for discussion whether or not Fedor was/is a top 10 heavyweight. Even if you don't think he was #1 these past few years (which is crazy in it's own right) the idea that he didn't crack the top 10 is so staggeringly stupid that White has to be called on this idiocy.
But these die hard UFC guys who know nothing outside of the UFC will buy it, and repeat it, and reaffirm their own idiocy in the process.

Thats why I boycott it. Its my own personal choice and I know people won't follow and it will accomplish nothing, I still choose to do it. I also go to sleep praying lightning strikes Dana Whites bathtube when he is in it! hahaha

Getting really sick of this white collar, no nothing putting himself forward as some sort of MMA authority. STFU Dana and do some training.

 

Dana doesn't need to train, he takes roids!!!!! He would just pick up the whole MMA world and...... oh wait he already did that afterall he created MMA and if it wasn't for Dana White we would never have heard of MMA. Remember he is god and all, you know!

 

WTF are you talking about?? Danas fighters makes the most in the sport, he pays them so good that they keep crawling back to him even after repeated humiliations, see Tito, Rampage, Vera..every ****in one. Theres a reason the best fighters in the world fights for the UFC inspite of Dana.

Also, Dana was tainting Coutures legacy just about a year ago and wheres Randy now?

And **** yes its all about money, are you serious?? This is business and when negotiations fell apart Fedors team was getting the brunt of the blame even in these same boards (Fedor should dump M1 etc). They ****ed up!! They had a good plan initially. They were matching up against former UFC guys with success and then bam! Meanwhile, the UFC HW picture have shifted miraculously for the better (JDS, Lesnar, Carwin, Cain) This gave Dana more leverage.

Now lets see how the great org. Strikeforce treats Fedor now..Hint..hint

Fedor is polite and self-contained, measured in how he speaks. Dana White is loud and profane even when there is no reason to be. For such a smart and conniving businessman White sure knows how to plant his foot squarely into his mouth. Emelianko loses one fight to a top BJJ guy and now is not a top ten heavyweight? Even Dana White knows this is utter nonsense. I was going to order the Lesnar fight this weekend but absolutely refuse to now. No amount of success or money is going to buy him class or even an ounce of dignity. His hatred of Fedor is dumbfounding.

 

Yes, you could be right.
But we do live in a world where some people take lower paying jobs over higher paying ones simply because there were other aspects aside from the money that made the job more favourable.
It might be hard to fathom, but maybe Fedor truly felt he was adhering to matters of principle as opposed to just financial ones. His loyalty to M-1 might be misguided and could end up being a bad decision in the long run, but that doesn't mean it isn't legitimate.

 

No ones saying that Fedor didnt stand for himself. Hes free to do whatever the **** he wants. And if that mean he kept his integrity, good for him. But lets be honest, he stuck with SF in hoping that him being there and keep on winning against ex UFC contenders, it may have been a worthwhile alternative investment. And for a year or so, it was. SF has garnered some fans and that is 80% at the very least due to Fedor. Unfortunately, this is a big , a huge setback. For SF especially. This was a gamble and Dana pipped him. Dana was in a position to wait (his HW div is doing well) and Fedor had to do all the hard work to gain leverage. And thats that.

And also this is no Danas personality vs. Fedor..because Dana is a POS spitting snake like every promoter in the land. But you have to start on a premise where that is a given if you want to objectively assess Danas value as a promoter/business person.

I agree with you about White. Which is why I don't get so bothered by him like a lot of people do. He is who he is and he's not going to change. He's a businessman, and a damn good one at that. He's also a giant dick most of the time.

As for Fedor's motive's on staying with SF, it's easy to break it down in hindsight and proclaim it as a terrible decision. But no one could have anticipated exactly how things would go down. Maybe his UFC stint would have sucked even worse. Maybe his downfall was inevitable. Although he might turn this all around if he can successfully rematch Werdum and then beat Overeem.
Hey, I was critical of him when he didn't sign with the UFC. I wanted to see it happen as much as anyone, and was annoyed by his unbreakable commitment to M-1. But, when all was said and done I respected his autonomy and his willingness to do what he felt was right. And like you said, his decision was something of a gamble, and at this point and time it looks like it may not have been the best one.
That's another chance you take in life when choosing one job over another. It might look like it's the right decision at the time, but it comes back to bite you in the ass later.

So, now Dana gets proclaimed as the big winner here? Nah. Dana would have been the big winner if he signed Fedor and set up a huge mega fight with Brock. That's what he desperately wanted. If he really feels some victory with Fedor's recent defeat it has be a bit hollow.

 

Agreed...Just like the other guy said. Its a 10-8 round but fights not over. But Fedor needs to avenge this loss first. Then if he somehow manage to beat Danas HW champ in the near future. Then he will be back on top, arguably better than he ever was.

 

Dana White should make like a tree and shut the **** up for once.
