Heard this is gonna be Arum's next promotions for Barrera. War for Four II. Humberto Soto's 135 title on the line. Who you got?

Soto whoops Barrera's ass. Even in his prime Barrera would have a tough fight on his hands against Soto.

I think Soto will be too big, and too active for him. Barrera is past it, and this bout will show it even more so than his past couple defeats.

I saw Soto fight live on the Hatton vs. Pacquaio undercard against Benoit Gaudet. He was really sharp and possessed a lot of energy. The finish was nice as well if I remember correctly.

I don't really want to see Marco fight anymore. I'll root for him but think Soto takes this one. In his prime Barrera would rip him apart.

Depends, if Barrera makes Soto take the lead, come foward, his (Barrera)aged reflexes wont be such a factor and he could conceivably use his skills to outpoint Soto, however if he tries to apply pressure he will have trouble imo, Soto is the fresher man to where by if they get into a battle he might come out on top, also, if Barrera tries pressure by looking to counter Soto off the front foot his aged reflexes might not allow him to do that, not to mention Soto is a pretty tidy counter puncher himself, although you can trap him on the ropes from time to time, as Jesus Chavez did at times.

Id be pulling for Marco though.

I haven't seen Barrera fight in a couple years so I don't know what he has left but he's getting up there in age and has been in a lot of grueling fights so he's clearly going to be on the downside of his career. Soto hasn't been too impressive in his last couple fights but he's younger and has more left while being a good fighter, he would have to be the favorite here. I don't blame Soto for taking this fight if it happens but he really needs to give Peterson his title shot. He was suppose to get a title shot and stepped aside for Soto to take on Diaz and then Soto fought in Mexico last month as well. Now if he takes on Barrera then that will be three staight title fights instead of taking on his mandatory in Peterson. Signing with Top Rank has been a big mistake for Peterson.

I will not be surprised when MAB beat Sotto, just like when Cotto beat Yuri, the Khan fight did not answer anything as he had a bad cut. MAB's only defeat from the past few years are against Pacquiao and JMM at 130 where JMM is a good fighter and not bloated. MAB's fight with JMM is close.
