Say Adamak beats Grant in August and Wladmir beats Povetkin whenever it is. Then a fight between the two is scheduled. Just say Adamak outpoints Wlad in a competitive fight. Were would he stand in all time rankings. He would be a three weight champ (also 3 time lineal, I think, champ), beat a guy who dominated the division for half a decade and had massive physical advantages. I can't see it but eventually Wlad might slip up. If he does will that make Adamak say a top 15-10 heavyweight?

nope i dont think so, no matter how good wlad is now the sanders brewster and purrity losses will always be stains on his record

it depends how good chad dawson ends up being because he smashed adamek

stick adamek in the mid 90s as a heavy and he gets beaten by about 10 different people

He barely beat Arreola and mainly because Arreola was injured, be serious.

It depends on what Adamek does. He might be a Douglas and be a one trick pony, or he might establish a long reign and be the dominant heavyweight for the next five years or so.

It also depends on what Wlad does.

If Wlad say recovers and smashes everyone except Adamek, then his stock would really go up.

If not, people would say he beat a washed-up Wlad.

But if Wlad wins a rematch with Adamek and stays on top for the next few years, Adamek would be like McCall or Rahman, someone who really got lucky the first time.

    I really depends.

What if Aliens invade the earth tomorrow? Guess what neither is going to happen so thanks for starting another needless, pointless thread on ESB. Shame there are too many of those :huh.

But honestly, Adamek, right now, would have no chance against Wladimir Klitschko.

If he beat him then he would have to be top 5 p4p... but its highly unlikely

I like Adamek, I would hate to see him get beaten to a bloody mess against Wlad.

He wasn't lineal at light heavyweight. He's beaten only two men with a legit title to their record that I know of, in O'Neil Bell and Steve Cunningham (Good scalps). But I believe his chances against Haye and Vitali might be better than people think. He would be a 3-division titlist with three champions on his record of wins then, and that is certainly no small task. As it is, having been a titlist in two, linear in one and a top-ranked contender in another, the man is damn good.

That's the problem with people who can't focus on anyrhing but the negatives. Wlad made a tactical mistake and gassed at age 21 againt Purrity. He was TKO's twice in 56 fights. Not any more staining that Lewis' being knocked out cold by a crack addict and a B - level fighter or Ali's loss and gift decision against Norton. It#s not the losses that define these champs, but who they bounced back and dominated. The current version of Wlad is as dominant as any HW in history and was never remotely close to being outpointed. If Adamek outpoints him, it would be a huge achievement.

I like Adamek. I also think he stands a very good chance against the slower Vitali and limited Haye. Don't like his odds against Wlad..Chambers was an excellent boxer/puncher as well. Maybe Adamek can bring more mental toughness with his skills and provide a better challenege at least.

You can use the same strange logic and say Lenno is no ATG HW because of his losses to Rahman and McCall who both were B-C HWs. ;)
