I had the game for the ps1 for YEARS lol. But looking back on it, I was wondering if you guys sort of agree with the stats they have the legends?

I going to start with heavyweight first since it has over 32 boxers with stats, speed, cuts ete.

Most I think is spot on, but I disagree with a few things.

Eric "Butterbean" Esch, why they put the Bean in I never know. But here are his stats.

    Record: 44-1-1 (34)
    Height: 6'0"
    Weight: 323 Lbs.
    Reach: 78"
    Power: 95
    Speed: 70
    Stamina: 70
    Chin: 90
    Heart: 100
    Cuts: 99,
    Fighting Style: Slugger
    Stance: Right

Would lower his cuts, the Bean I recall got cut a lot I belive, Also he has the same power as Jack Dempsey or Joe Frazier, and I cant put Bean on that level of power.

    Jack Dempsey

    Record: 61-6-8 (50), 6 no- decisions
    Height: 6'0"
    Weight: 180 Lbs.
    Reach: 77"
Power: 99, In the 2001 game, they lower his power to 96
Speed: 85, Up speed to 89 in 2001 game.
    Stamina: 100
    Chin: 100
    Heart: 100
    Cuts: 99
    Fighting Style: Slugger
    Stance: Right

Not bad over all. The only flaw is his stamina, I would not have giving it 100, He was pretty tired vs Willard, and of couse Tunney. I may have drop it to 87 or so.

    Joe Frazier

    Record: 32-4-1 (27)
    Height: 5'11"
    Weight: 205 Lbs.
    Reach: 74"
Power: 99, Power lower to 95 in 2001.
    Speed: 85
    Stamina: 100
    Chin: 95
    Heart: 100
    Cuts: 95
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

Not sure on this, may have up his speed perhaps. He was able to track down Ali, but it looks all right to me.

    Michael Grant

    Record: 30-0 (21)
    Height: 6'7"
    Weight: 250 Lbs.
    Reach: 86"
    Power: 99
    Speed: 85
    Stamina: 99
    Chin: 99
    Heart: 99
    Cuts: 99
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

Chin and Heart are a first giving here, Though this was before Lewis ko him. Not sure I agree with these stats, though we have hindsight here.

    Larry Holmes

    Record: 66-6 (42)
    Height: 6'3"
    Weight: 209 Lbs.
    Reach: 79"
    Power: 88
    Speed: 99
    Stamina: 99
    Chin: 100
    Heart: 100
    Cuts: 100
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

    Looks all right to me.

    Evander Holyfield

    Record: 35-3-1 (25)
    Height: 6'3"
    Weight: 214 Lbs.
    Reach: 78"
    Power: 95
    Speed: 90
    Stamina: 100
    Chin: 100
    Heart: 100
    Cuts: 99
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

Pwer is WAY too high, and Evander gas way too often for me to give him 100 in Stamina.

    Ingemar Johansson

    Record: 26-2 (17)
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 196 Lbs.
    Reach: 73"
    Power: 99
    Speed: 85
    Stamina: 99
    Chin: 88
    Heart: 99
    Cuts: 85
    Fighting Style: Slugger
    Stance: Right

Agree with most here. Any one with 90 plus power would do real damage here. Not sure on Heart though.

    Lennox Lewis

    Record: 33-1-1 (27)
    Height: 6'5"
    Weight: 244 Lbs.
    Reach: 84"
    Power: 99
    Speed: 88
    Stamina: 99
    Chin: 90
    Heart: 99
    Cuts: 99
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

    Lower stamina and chin imo.

    Stamina: 85
    Chin: 99
    Heart: 99
    Cuts: 99
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

Not sure here, I would lower heart, but thats mostly on the Ali thing.

    Joe Louis

    Record: 68-3 (54)
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 205 Lbs.
    Reach: 76"

    Stamina: 100
    Chin: 99
    Heart: 100
    Cuts: 99
    Fighting Style: Boxer
    Stance: Right

Chin I lower around to the 90 or mid 80's, He was knockdown way too much for him to have a near iron chin imo.

    Rocky Marciano

    Record: 49-0 (43)
    Height: 5'11"

    Reac: 67"

I agree with what you said but it's the Holyfield onw I'm a bit iffy on. I think if they made a prime Holy his stamina should be in the 90's but a past prime one should have about maybe an 85 stamina rating. It would be interesting if they had a prime Tyson on here he seemed to fit these games lol. I miss when boxing games had very good rosters like these . . . but getting the rights to certain boxers can be a pain so I guess Fight Night does the best it can on rosters though I think they can do better if even slightly.

Same here, I've always thoroughly disagreed with a great deal of the attribute ratings in the Knockout Kings and Fight Night series.

Outside of say Tyson, or Foreman, you had most of the heavyweight elite right here.

I mean Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Ali and Joe Louis, who makes most people's top ten (Some cases top 5) right in 1 game.
Than you have Frazier, Patterson, Lewis and top contenders like Shavers and Tua just about rounds the heavyweights out nicely.
The only flaws are Bean and Grant imo. But Grant was view as the next big thing at the time, so that can slide. I would have replace Bean with Tunney or Tyson if one can get rights to the names.

I dont think no other game has that in a historic sense.

I loved the classic matchs up. Mostly in the 1950's arena were the bell can saved them(Cant be saved in the color arenas)

So just for a test, I wanted to see how many times Marciano can knock Ali down, so I drop Ali at the end of each round were the bell can saved them.

By round 13, Ali's head was dangling down lol.
