Yeah but because he was a boxer he got done because his fists are classed as weapons. He's got a big family I used to knock about with his cousins but to be fair basingstoke is a small town everyone knows everyone

Indeed, Dean was out and about with his sister and some bloke in the kebab shop starting being aggressive towards her.

As we all know, some pissheads won't listen to sense and the next thing, there's a bit of argy-bargy.

What makes it worse is I believe the chaps involved weren't actually bothered about taking it any further...until the local constabulary persuaded them to.

Boxers, especially ones as good as Kell Brook, cannot be treated like the next man in a case like this. It's difficult enough for us to defend boxing against its critics without stories such as this one. I'm not saying Brook should be banned for life, but he does deserve a lengthy ban.

Alot of pro boxers come from the streets and banning them for life would just multiply any problems they may have. Kell Brook or Dean Francis getting into a scuffle doesn't equal Ibeabuchi/ Valero style problems.

Think of the number of great fighters who would have been banned if you imposed a zero tolerance attitude. Monzon, Robinson, Amir Khan even? I mean do you impose a ban for taking drugs? Where would you draw the line..

Its the fight game FFS, I never understand why so called "fight fans" expect their fighters to be tigers in the ring, & pussycats outside of it.

These guys put their life on the line every time they step into the ring, & yet people still think these same people should be pillars of the community?

    REALITY CHECK NEEEDED!!!!!

This is BOXING we are talking about here, not Linford Christie running down a track for a few seconds or Chris Hoy doing a few laps on a fast bike!

no one expects them "to be pillars of the community" but we expect them to act like adults and not little bullys that beat the **** out of people when they don't get there own way.

and I box, just so you know, before you think that I don't have an understanding of what boxers go through.

Unless something else has gone on I'd guess he'll get a fine, suspended setence and maybe hours.
